Ankle Mobility: Plantarflexion

In this video, you'll learn how to quickly screen your ankle for plantar flexion mobility deficits and go through two effective plantarflexion stretches for emphasizing inversion and eversion. This is especially useful if you have a history of stiff ankles and are looking to improve your flexibility.
Prescription:
-this can be done daily
-start off holding for 20-30 seconds at a time
-work up to being able to tolerate 1-2 minutes straight
-stretches don't have to be done all in one sitting
-work up to accumulating 5-10 minutes a day.

this was great. i’ve not seen anyone else cover eversion before. i’ve got a long way to go to be able to sit on my heels. He really did a great job on this video and wow he really has nice-looking feet as well. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this video. For me it helps putting a thin pillow or rolled towel on the ankles making the pain tolerable, then after a few times I'm able to remove the pillow. Yoga blocks are also helpful for hand support. I'm adding this to my daily workout.

Great video. Sprained my ankle almost a month ago and I’m mostly struggling with plantar flexion and dorsiflexion and have been heavily working on it for a bit but it’s still fairly stiff compared to my good ankle. Sitting on my heels is difficult, I hope I regain my full mobility within the next few weeks

@@45nikhilesh39 knees to the ground, sit with your butt on your feet. Make sure your feet are flat and face down. Just sit in that position for like, 30 seconds. Can’t remember since it’s been so long but that’s the only way I stretched it during rehab. After a while I didn’t see any results so I stopped and now it’s back to normal
