Use the custom eq it is awesome when you customize and it gets loud I used it at my indoor pool class it filled the whole area with great sound love the red one you have. They are due for an upgrade soon good video as usual.

Thanks for the great review ! The jack input on this soundcore speaker is really a good point. Unfortunately the Bose or the Marschall haven't :/

Please invest some time to fiddle with the customizable EQ. In my opinion that’s the only way to make the SoundCore Motion+ worth it.

@@Deebohuncho Lol it's not a good point tho. If "most speakers" function well with an integrated app & access to EQ then that should factor into their overall appeal. If "most speakers" sound good with EQ then good for them. But I don't hear about them being better than Motion+ even with that. That being said, my JBL Flips 4 & 5 were never as good as my Motion+, even when EQd.

Soundcore Motion+ is an excellent sounding speaker BUT you do have to EQ it in order to get the most out of it. Otherwise, don't bother.

The EQ is not magic. I thought if I messed with this magical EQ app I would get hi res crystal clear sound…NOPE. I tried Alan Ross’s and I’m just not feeling anything from this speaker… I don’t know… I listen to edm/house so maybe that’s why? When I buy a JBL the bass slaps and the mids/highs always sound decent! If you don’t want to be experimenting with the EQ in other words… if you don’t have obsessive compulsive disorder avoid listening to the soundcore bots, it’s hot garbage 🗑️

I've got the black, red and will be getting the blue pretty soon. For stereo separation a 3.5 mm left/right splitter (not as easy to find as one thought). Oh, and another splitter for the center one.

I would say it's impossible to make a review that does the Soundcore Motion + justice without equalizing it... the EQ coupled with the separate tweeters really set this thing apart and you can get it to sound like it costs at least twice the price with some fine-tuning. Seriously, tweak it until it sounds as good as possible and then compare it to similarly priced speakers again.

Glad you mentioned that as when he showed the app, all the eq settings were flat:) I was hoping he'd tweak it and say, "there, thats more like it". LOL Good review. I just bought the Motion+ less than an hour ago just for something to listen to my playlists while working in the yard. Looking forward to it:)

I’ve had mine for a little while now, sounds great. Just like anything else, home receiver, infotainment system in the car, being able to adjust the EQ makes a significant difference. IMO:)

I would say nothing beats the MOTION + once tuned well on it's Eq. I have two of them and boy do they sound GOOD! And here is a little thing I did to my MOTIONS +, I opened both of them and added more ceiling for air tight and it dramatically upped the deep bass! Plus, they sound way more cleaner than before. I'm just saying from my experience, those are some SOLID BUYS you don't even need to think twice; take it from me!! And oh, make sure to find them a good corner to place them, Ankers are built for that 👍👍

You give great videos the red SOUNDCORE looks great but don’t have one the Bose and Tribit and I have the same JBL FLIP 5 love the gold color. Have you tried the JBL FLIP 6 it’s awesome. I’d like to see a video comparison on the FLIP 6

I had two of these paired at either end of my office. It could fill the whole space with great sound without being overpowering.

I love my motion plus, buat after 3 years own, my motion plus got trouble, it always turn off while playing after a minutes and cannot be turn on, must be wait after aprox 30 minutes. Have you guys had same issue ?

I agree with your assessment. Even with eq’ing the motion+ it doesn’t achieve the natural warm sound of the Bose flex no matter what you do.

@ :55 --- Actually, it has 2 passive radiators; one in the front and one in the back. If you'll notice there's an opening in the back --- that's to let the bass thump out from the passive radiator that's hidden in the back. You get tons of BASS. :)

I have two of them and I like and lovev them to pair them but when you get 4tweeters ,well that's a weird sound experience 😜👍funny ,weird echo ,try it with others speakers and it's a similar result, in think because they were build as a stand alone function for first and second as a pair ,I mean the stereo goes a little hallow ,spacial sound and ....

Just one os OK, 2 apart are awesome.

Just ordered one as new with a cover in coat for 60 euros, i think it's a good deal

Anker in its default .. ain't flat .... It's more of a Mids dominant ... But its going to sound better with its customizable eq

Mine died (I thought). I followed the Soundcore website factory reset instructions...and bammo, it is working again. I am using the Jet Audio APP with it's equalizer for my MP3's...it sounds awesome.

Agreed....one needs to use the custom eq setting on the soundcore app. for a flatter response, to allow for a more balanced sound. However, I have no knowledge or equipment on how to do this other than by ear. So, instead I rely on youtubers settings found on Alan Ross reviews or Mr. Cow...who have this knowledge and equipment to achieve getting the flatter response. It sounds really good, after making the easy adjustments resetting the eq. from either of these two sites.

I'm very curious what you say about it ,in my opinion it's a hifi for the buck but far away from the warm sound of marshall 👍😜

I have JBL Charge 5, Flip, and 2 units of Motion+! You can't review it without tuning the EQ. Out of the box, the sound quality is flat, nothing special. But when you tuned the EQ, this is the best BT Speaker for the price! Nothing beat the Motion+ for the price even my Charge 5! The stereo, aPtx, sound separation, everything is balance and perfect..!

Well i could agree the clarity of soundcore sound good. But the boom from tribit xsoundmega is damn hard. The JBL flip5 is abot old. Flip6 sound much better. Still I'm loving that tribit xsound mega.

The motion boom or select pro are the best from soundcore at the moment.

Sony XB43 has a more warm sound mids and bass over Anker

Had the Motion+ and a JBL Charge 5 (50% more expensive). Tested them side by side. Out of the box the Charge 5 sounds better than the Motion+, hands down. Once you get to use the EQ for both of them, well, things change. For my ears, the Motion+ has better detail, once you tune its EQ to your taste. The Charge 5 is good, but for me, ut had to go. It's great for party music, and its EQ app does it justice exactly for that. But if you prefer detail and structure the Motion+ is better. Not by.much, but it makes a difference.

I would say I have differing opinions about the total experience. Sound quality is incredibly suggestive. Oluv also loves the stockwell II which can only whisper audio.

This thing needs EQ❤ AND BOOM it will sound the bestttt for sure ....the best amongst all its competitors ❤ This thing is not over hyped😂 this is the only speaker for which the soundcore stared there game in the field of speakers 🔥 its uncompareble to anything else how good this speaker is for the value for money category and I think only the jbl charger 5 can beat it in certain aspects...other wise nope no compitition ❤

Hi, I read that EQ settings should change according to version of the firmware of the app. Is that true ? Is this EQ settings still effective in the latest version of the soundcore app ? Thanks !

JBL is still king! Not bad for soundcore though

you think the marshal emberton sounds better then the motion plus? you must ether be deaf or this whole video is a joke. just throw in a decent custon eq on the soundcore and its beating every speaker you have there. the emberton has the worst sound iv heard in a speaker in years. returned it the next day. the bass is severly lacking and its very distorted at max. the motion plus has far more bass and plays far deeper and has more cleaner highs. the only other speaker you have of good quality is the flex. that thing has great controled bass unlike there tribit. tribit reallty messed up that speaker with the rear bass radiator noise. iv had two of them, both did it bad. makes them unusable.

Couldn't agree more. I have had other speakers like the Sony xb33, Marshall Emberton, Flip 5, Charge 5, Tribit Xsound Mega, Bose Flex and the Soundcore Motion +. Out of all of them that I tried I fell in love with the Soundcore Motion Plus after getting it EQ'd and the Flex for it's rather warm and pleasant sound. The motion + for it's size is really good and does go pretty deep and definitely is louder with little to no distortion.

It's almost like people have Different hearing Different opinions And different tastes in sound The Marshall has a better soundstage and can extend more in the highs the emberton II has a even better soundstage and can extend even higher. Verdict: these speakers are better in their own ways

On the preset it came with? It's rather flat yes. Use the equaliser and for me I just use my LG V30 music app equaliser in fact I just use one of the presets that's on the app and the sound is like night and day. Lesson is if you want to hear the best sound out of the Motion+ you have to tweak it and get a good music source like the LG V series phone which still can be found on the cheap. I've tried many other phones and they don't compare. Of course you can buy the many expensive DAP on the market. Still the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom sounds slightly better overall to me because it's bigger and has a bigger sound and bigger bass. It's slightly cheaper to boot. You have to tweak the sound just like the Motion+ to get the best sound of course.

I never get how yous on KZread like The Marshall bluetooth speakers as it the most sh*tty most hated sounding speaker of them all in real life and it not even tune or made by Marshall it should never compared with JBL and Bose as those sounded 10 times better.
