When you hear a real pro in person it is amazing. I heard one of the best jazz singers ever in Vegas at a Charity event. Her voice was so powerful, had great tone, and she didn't even need a microphone. I will never forget it. Anita is one of my all time favorites too, I know most of the words to a lot of her songs.

I was there. It rained ALL DAY. My friends and I almost didn't go but were determined to see Anita Baker. God introduced us to an older couple as we were getting prepared to sit in the rain. They were leaving and asked us where we were sitting. We told them on the lawn. The husband said we would not make it and gave us 4 seats in the pavilion. Talk about favor!! It was AMAZING to witness in person.

What a treat. Love both these ladies and big respect for Anita Baker sharing her stage with others and enjoying their gifts. This is what Whitney Houston always did, support others in the industry and give them shine when you have the bigger light at the time. Love it.

I saw Regina live back in the 80's, and she had a backup singer who was an absolute POWERHOUSE, and she really let that woman shine as well, without any ego or professional jealousy.
