    We are often so critical 9f our own work. You point out th .001% of thing you could do better, but I'm hugely impressed and inspired by the 99.999% of what you di beautifully. The attention to detail in the cockpit of the camera plane is what really sells the realism! Great job and thanks for sharing!

  • @thereasoniswhatever5068
    @thereasoniswhatever506829 күн бұрын

    This looks great. There are however two more things that I would change. I would remove the camera shake as it doesn't make sense to have a cameraman stanging in the cockpit next to the pilot. If you want to make it feel more real just keep the camera locked and maybe add a bit of vertical shake the moment the camera plane starts rolling. The second thing is paralax. I would just keep the top of the background image pinned in place and slowly moving the bottom (as it is supposed to be closer to the plane) This will give you the feeling of fast movent even when moving the bottom by a few percent of it's width.

    Very nicely done. If I were to suggest any changes, they would only be on the technical side of what is being shot -not with any of your creative or technique choices, which were fantastic. 1. The camera in such a production would be fixed (probably by suction cup to the canopy), so you don't need any sway and probably don't want vibration. 2. Aircraft in an eschelon formation like the one you're modelling always break from the lead. The lead goes first, then #2, then #3 etc. Because the other aircraft are formating on the the lead -they are watching him/her. In your animation 5 breaks first, then 4, 3, 2 and finally the lead. This means that #4 is looking right and then breaks left into an aircraft they weren't watching, and therefore don't know precisiely where it is. Reposition your starting locations so the aircraft are in eschelon right, with the camera ship as #5 and the furthest aircraft as lead. 3. When aircraft break like this, they aren't on rails. They roll sharply and pull hard. A thousandth of a second difference in the stop point for the roll, means the final angle (and therefore the plane they are pitching in) will be different. At the moment each aircraft's movement is an exact clone of the others. There needs to be diversity in the final plane of pitch, so that some go slightly higher, and some lower. Watch the F-15 clip at the start of your video again to see what I mean. The lead aircraft pitches slightly higher than the #2. The third aircraft in the sequence actually uses the first two as references, so normally pitches somewhere between those two, and the same with later planes in the break.

    Amazing work for such a short little time, especially the pov from the cockpit looks great. Just my 2 cents, the planes from pilot pov should be loosing speed as they turn off, so they should start dragging behind. Or, a great detail would be that the jet's nozzle turns slightly hotter indicating they're banking but also increasing speed.

    Wow, this looks sick! I'm really impressed with the final render. Just wanted to give some pointers, *OBS* I'm no 3D or aviation expert. 1. In the example video, when pilots execute those turns at the beginning, they usually raise the nose to maintain altitude. This increases air resistance significantly, causing the plane to slow down and eventually disappear out of frame, just like in the example video. 2. the cockpit glass on a fighter plane is kept clean for various reasons. So, seeing dirt or grime on it made me grit my teeth a bit. 3. You picked a fantastic backdrop, but I sank in to my chair a bit when you beveled the image because I knew it would create a fisheye/distortion effect on the backdrop. Instead, you could reduce the opacity on the bottom of the cloud image and then place the ground image flat under the plane for a smoother transition without any distortion. I understand this might require more effort, but it would definitely be worth it. 4. The top comment allready pointed this out. but making the backdrop move very slowly along the Y-axis would make the render so much more believable. Overall, it's an amazing video, and top notch render!

  • @petermayer8375
    @petermayer8375Ай бұрын

    A very slight movement of the entire background would`ve added a sense of speed. Also adding a few volumetric clouds closer to the planes also would`ve added a sense of motion. Otherwise great job, there`s a slight distortion on the BG when the plane banks, was that because of the mapping or the distortion of the canopy glass? Cheers
