still works and also on nearby towns! here's how I got it to work: okay the best advice I got was that 1) if the error screen shows up on both 3ds then you flipped the switch too early 2) if the error only shows up on the visitor screen and on your return to town your pockets are empty then you were too late 3) so in conclusion youve got to get your timing right on the point where your friend doesnt get the error code and only you do and on your return to your town your pockets should still be full and the stuff should also be duplicated in your friends town. Depending on the speed of your wifi the rotations that you have to wait before flipping the wifi switch will vary. I had to wait a whole rotation and a half. Just keep trying till you start flipping between the error code showing up on both screens to only showing up on the visitor screen, then flip the switch at that precise moment between the two.

It works now that I have watched this video! I am so excited and happy thanks sooooo much for making this!

Just a tip. If it's not working for you, I read elsewhere that the point you should switch the wifi switch depends on how close you are to Nintendo's servers. I'm in Tasmania, Australia and tried this around 8 times and it wouldn't work at the above mentioned spot, so actually the 'sweet spot' varies by your location. Best thing to do is keep trying but change the position the blue dot on the swirl is by two spaces each time, until you find the place that works for you. Also the host should not get the resetti screen if it is successful.

I just reset my town, and my ABD is a few hundred million bells lighter than what I've been used to. After getting it right, a bunch of times I think I've got the timing right. If both screens show the error screen after you hit the wi-fi switch, you did it too early. If the host's screen shows them waving goodbye to the other player in the train, you either did correctly or too late. Check the vistors pockets. If it has the stuff inside you did it correctly.

I've gotta watch this series now.

This does work in Canada and the USA. As well as anywhere else im sure. My friened from canada tried it and succeeded on her second attempt. Its all about timing as the video says. A note is, if the Host gets resetti on screen to pop up (shown in the video when he switched the wireless off) then it likely didnt work. You being a visitor would have their things still and the Friend/host town wont. The Visitor whom dropped their things gets resetti only. Once visitor gets resetti to pop on their screen notifying of the error, then you more then likely did it correctly, items will be in the host town and also the visitor pockets. Hope this helps anyone who's confused or haging trouble. This is just whay i figured out and experienced. Happy Cloning!

😯 Abdallah! How could you!?! 53 episodes only to find out that your second two golden rooms are duped! This is on an entirely different level than time traveling! 😭 My jaw literally dropped when I found out. Ah, well... the apology from 2013 at 5:11 takes away a bit of the sting at least. Times have changed, and I know that the silver of remorse would no longer happen this year, as evidenced by the Magikarp Jump video from last year. 😂 Seriously though, I should have stopped at 52 for the night. i went to my friends town withone slot of 50k bells. put it down, she ended it then i turned it off, it went past to 10o'clock and when i got back to my town. it wasnt in my inventory, help?

Do both parties need to cut the WiFi at the same time? New 3DS does not have the WiFi switch feature but I have access to a friend who has old 3dsxl with the switch. So my question is, do we both need to cut the WiFi at the same time? Is it just the person who is leaving your town that has to cut the WiFi at that precise moment or does everyone? Also does this glitch still work as of November 22, 2016?

It works ^_^ I think the The reason why it's not working for some people a is it has to go around one then they flip the wire switch some people wait till the middle when they flicked wireless switch that's when it doesn't work

Very possible on a 2DS. Did it last night. Timing is a little different, right past what he does. Just hit the power switch.

I dupe all the time. I dupe royal crowns then sell them at Re-tail when hats are on premium. It doesn't ruin the game for me. I still have fun playing with friends and my villagers are great. It's actually a relief now that I can work on decorating my fully-expanded home instead of stressing about collecting a massive amount of bells.

Matloob Altaf only the normal 3ds mate. Cause that’s the only one with the wireless switch my 3ds broke but I got a new one tho
