I think the holiday updates are done. The last new ones was the festival. They have been slowly but surely adding other non holiday stuff. But still they might “update” the past holidays like they did for bunny day.

Please. Holidays are something that should have been in the base game imo. I can understand them being locked behind a time wall, but Holidays shouldn't have to be a part of updates unless they're fixing a part of it (like when they toned down the spawn rate of eggs during Easter), or expanding upon the holiday itself; like adding new furniture, diys, events and whatever else. It's been a year and we still don't have any of the quality of life things that should have been a part of the game long ago. Not to sound ungrateful, but there's really not much game content that makes me want to keep playing, and it's kind of disappointing.

Would they release a Mario game with only world 1 with bimonthly updates releasing the other worlds? That would be silly. At least they could have released New Horizons with everything New Leaf had and slowly rolled out NEW stuff. The game didn't even release with art collecting or swimming which baffles me. I enjoy new horizons, I'm just a bit disappointed

I am a 35 year old man whose so excited for Prom! My first one ever will be with villagers only with me being the only human and that's the best Prom I could ever ask for. I will be going to my island shortly to be frustrated that I can barely get any water eggs as I suit up to celebrate Prom.

@@feliscatus4922 lol its not about copying. its about how they hardly added any new content and are acting like the regular seasonal bugs that come out are new content. there was so much more furniture sets and gyroids and clothing and everything in the previous games! like come on. you could customize your town hall. your shop actually upgraded. new horizons added what....broken tools? so when you're just trying to relax and catch some bugs and fish your tools keep breaking and you have to go craft more

what do i have to play for daily now? to pick up 2 DIY recipes that I 98% already have and check the permanent nooks cranny which has the same old stuff 98% of the time and the able sisters too. nook and isabelle permanently shut away in the town center with no purpose to even talk to them anymore...

Turns out I perfectly stopped playing the game long enough to loop right back around to Bunny Day. (And the second thing I caught was a sea bass....)

Collect items, craft, be racist against any animal but penguins. Lock all other villagers in boxes everyday. Also scavenger hunts with friends. Those are fun. Oh and you can be a gardener. Pumpkins, flowers. And you can torture blathers by showing him spiders over and over. Pretty fun game.

Like the amiibo cards. Can only get those if you buy. Which makes sense, after a year, they aren't making too much money on this game and everyone wants more more more.

Its been a year, game sold 30 million plus copies. I hope they are working on an actual update for those of us who have completed the museum. New upgraded for the nook store, bringing over all the remaining missing features/shops from new leaf. This game will keep selling, give something to reward the customers. I barely put more then 5 minutes a week on this game anymore. Use to play at least an hour per day.

@@starrycat1445 yes Blanca will go around to villagers houses , you have to figure out who is the imposter *no among us joke >:( * the villager and Blanca will tell you something like : The career they want to do Their talent How many siblings they have When their born Etc etc If you find the right person there is a good chance they will give you a photo of them . Honestly New Leaf give villagers more things to know about them . I learn that Lucky is the fourth quintuplet (quintuplet is like twins but 5 children are born at once) His skill is forgetting stuff He wants to be a doctor (irony) And he is afraid of mummy’s (another irony) New leaf give the villagers character, and they all have different things .

It sucks that you added almost one day of content for OG players, almost no new things. What are OGs gonna do if they completed the fish and bugs collection and already have the diys from last year? For 60$ i thought maybe you wouldn't forget about us and give us something to keep playing. We need more buildings, it's been a year

We still don't have staple characters like Gracie Grace, Kappn, Brewster, and others. There hasn't been anything of note content wise since the dream address feature has been added. While the warp pipes are cool, it's all mostly been just furniture and clothing...

Even after all these updates I still find it hard to say this game is better than new leaf.

I really like the prom stuff and will probably buy everything. However, I do find it a shame that April Fool's went by practically unnoticed. I remember in the GameCube game that Tom Nook made a joke about having some kind of big sale? I don't completely remember it, but I just remember being incredibly confused when the thing Tom Nook told me was a lie haha.

You know this pandemic has gone bad when they add prom stuff so we could attend prom in animal crossing

i havent played animal crossing in months and i've been afraid to pick it up because i know i'm behind and have lots of cleaning and catching up but seeing these islands have lots of weeds and it still looks good makes me feel better

I remember starting up this game last year. Finding new bugs and fish, the cherry blossoms, Bunny Day, exploring other islands, getting my first new resident, working on projects for new buildings, seeing Wisp for the first time... This game helped make last year a lot more bearable.

Make the prom into a real event that we have to get items and set it up maybe even let us have a prom date so the animals can vote for prom King and Queen

It's that dreaded time of year again, Zipper's back.

Yeah I struggle so much to choose which villagers I want on my island, if I wanted to have all personalities it would only leave me with 2 spaces to have repeated personalities. past games had the limit from 12 and higher i'm sure so its weird how there weren't more spaces

I got animal crossing last march 2020 I loved it so much that I got a switch lite just to have a second island, animal crossing is the game I play every day and it makes me so happy to play. Thank you for ,making this game I love love love love love love it!

The spawn rates for the fish was toned down quite a lot, they also shrunk it down to a week instead of two weeks and bunny day started right after the game releasing making it hard to get the materials for when you first start your island thats why a lot of people hated it

I’m excited to experience the spring season again, this time with more knowledge of the game. My goal is get the cherry-blossom diys I still need, already got 4 just 2 more to go!

I love how when she says "glam up for prom", the "for prom part is in time with the music haha

Hey, Nintendo! I think you should add something for this summer, so, here what im thinking; You can hold Empty cans (Trash) and fill it with water, and then splash the water at other players on you island, you also would be able to get kites! You can buy them at Nooks Cranny, you can hold on to them, and then press A, then your character will wait for a breeze, they're hair would blow in the wind depending on how long it is, they'll then let go of the Kite, and it will Fly!! Depending on if your running with it and you fall, it will blow away in the breeze, but you don't have to buy a new one! a couple days later, if you look around your island, you will find it on the ground. I hope you like my Ideas, you don't have to do it, but maybe in the next Animal Crossing Game!!! 😁

Check Leif's store when he stops by or try island hopping and hope for a flower island. That's the main way I got the flowers that I didn't start with. ^-^
