Spoiler for New Horizons Brewster is like 90% confirmed for ACNH based on the datamines. They are also planning on adding a farming system (with potatoes, tomatoes, etc.) and gyroid collection, but I think it’s best if you read up on them for yourself.

As much as I adore New Horizons, at this point, it feels like an unfinished early access game. I've literally run out of things to do. Same furniture and clothing items while Pocket Camp, a mobile game with micro-transactions, gets new content DAILY. Same dialogues from characters day in and day out, they feel like robotic NPC's. Missing features that were already there in past titles, like diving. Diving and the Dream Suite were features that were already present in New Leaf from the second you played it, so why did we have to wait MONTHS for them in New Horizons? Why do we have to work on Nintendo's schedule when it comes to holidays? There's no reward or incentive for saving your bells in the ABD. We used to get things like a box of tissues or models or even our own ABD, but now we get nothing. Where are all of the Nintendo items? Like Mario clothing? Zelda items? Are they afraid to use their own popular franchises? New Horizons is a cute wholesome game, but it feels empty and kind of sad.

Have you seen the last developers' interview? They stated that they expect players to keep finding new things in the game for two years.. So it probably means that they expect to keep updating the game for at least two years ! I am sure that there will be lots of new things to do in the future. When it is all done, I believe that this game will be even bigger than New Leaf

I hope I pick it back up soon, but I feel like I’ve just run out of things to do and the residents in this game say the same things every day and it rarely changes. Does anyone else remember that update a while back where the dodo birds were supposed to be able to send your storage back to your house when you were on a Nook island tour? As per their predecessors Chip and Nat, they're kind of supposed to be on the island occasionally 😅. If they're supposed to be running the fishing tourney and the bug-off, they're supposed to be there seasonally.
