The books were way different than the movies, and they botched up Dave the Laugh so bad. They gave they actor nothing, when Dave is the only character that’s always there for Georgia and understands her, even more so than the ace gang. Like when a book only character assaults her I think the 5th book (?), the ace gang all slut shame her and Dave is the only one who believes her, and he beats the guy up and forces him to apologise.
