This has been a favorite song of mine for 50 years & I've heard a lot of legendary singers cover this classic jazz standard. Angelina was the 1st child I'd seen sing this & she brought me to tears. She then sang another version at 10 singing to a backing track while sitting in a chair at her home that is off the charts on he cuteness scale, but I so hoped she would sing it again when she developed a more mature voice. When she turned 16, my wish came true when she recorded it in the antique shop. That version blows every other version I've heard out of the water, whether by a male or a female vocalist, it's just stunningly beautiful. I honestly don't know how she could improve on it, but knowing Angelina, she probably will.

I don't think the orchestra did her any favors. Reminded me of a video called " A 9:11 Angelina and the Nutty Professor". Only my opinion but a lot of people don't take suggestions from nine year olds genius or not.

The orchestra did not make it easy for her, not in the way of neglecting her, but more than treating her like any other (adult) singer. The pianist is a renowned artist with even a top ten listing on the billboard jazz list. He is known for a lot of improvisations and meditative jazz, not the most accessible jazz that exists. In that context I have always thought that this is beyond fantastic performance of a 9 year old.
