At 2:30 into the video, we see a caricature of 8 year old Angelina, with her teeth finally grown in. This picture would be immediately recognizable by Norwegians, as it was the face of the little girl who won Norway's Got Talent.

@@freddiegozo Yes, I have listened a lot to Lucy (and her sister). I agree that she is an incredible singer. But still she has never touched me the way that Angelina is doing more or less all the time. It is ofc a totally personal opinion, and I'm sure thousands upon thousands think differently, but I feel like Lucy is missing a dimension or two. I can almost describe it as looking at a normal picture versus a three dimensional one. Please understand that I'm not saying this to discredit Lucy in any way, shape or form, because she is an exceptionally good singer, one of the very, very best. If you were marooned on a desert island for the rest of your life, and could only listen to covers and original songs performed by a single artist, who would you choose? Well Angelina has kept me going for three years now, as no artist ever has through several decades of my life, so it’s Angelina for me. If you had asked me back in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond that I would come to say that of what is still only a 17-year-old, I would have laughed so much. Well, here I am, and I’m so happy. I know that for the rest of my life, whatever trials and tribulations arise, whatever I have to endure, I can listen to Angelina and she will take me to her world.

I’m with you. Most of my favorite songs came from the easy listening and rock music, of late sixties and seventies. I would never have believed a young girl would come along in the 21st century and steal my heart and soul with music across many genres and a century. Yes, I would be there with you listening to only her music and be thankful to be alive because of it.

She basically did guest star on AGT. They’d been trying to get her on the show for years, but she refused to sign the contract with them because it was too restrictive. Eventually, they just had her come on the show anyway with the stipulation that she wouldn’t be able to “win” since she wasn’t going to sign the contract. She got to fulfill her childhood dream of singing for Simon and they got a bar-raising performance for their show. It was a win-win.

The Where did you come up with that nonsense that "she wouldn't be able to win"? That restrictive contract was re-negotiated by Uncle Mike so her signing would not obligate her to any deal when she performed. Please get your facts straight.

Some extra belting, riffs and runs for the judges and the American audience. Still it’s tasteful and seemingly effortless.

It's funny, I know all the originals of her songs but yet once I hear her sing them her way, that's what sticks in my head and I forget the originals...lol

She does her vocal runs and riffs with great skill but in addition to that she has very strong emotion always in her singing. It sounds like she feels the music strongly herself when she is singing. So it's not just performing. That's why I like so much about her.

All of what you said, plus standing on stage in front of a live audience and one of the largest broadcast audiences on television, at 13 years old and showing no sign of nerves or stress. And the audience is completely silent for most of her performance. How does a 13 year old have the composure, the presence, to capture an audience like that?

Essentially she was guest starring. The voting system for this show is flawed at best and she wouldn't sign their restrictive contracts. She got HUGE worldwide exposure for her appearances and a contract with Republic records not long after, a perfect fit for her. Great choice by you, I literally wore out 3 of Elton's Yellow Brick Road Lp's when it was released in the day!

Carlie, this was my introduction to Angelina in the spring of 2020, right at the start of the pandemic. I was enthralled, to say the least, and I have listened to her every day since. This may sound corny, but my wish is that on my deathbed her voice is in my ears.

@Miguel I have only heard Angelina say she was nervous to sing for Simon. All other interviews indicate she is happy to sing for the world.

Whether it was intentional or not, Angelina sings to Simon "I didn't sign up with you. I'm not a present for your friends to open". Thankfully Angelina's family didn't sign any agreement which gave Simon any control over her career. No doubt they signed some sort of agreement but Simon didn't get any control over her future.
