@@glenmorris135 I’ve been very fortunate to be able to see Angelina in concert several times in Norway and in the USA. I’m retired in Canada but I spend few months every year with my elderly parents is Goteborg, Sweden. I’ve attended the near by Halden festival “Sing-Along At The Border” several times including the 3 times that Angelina participated at that event. I’m looking forward to the time that the current pandemic is under control and being able to attend more of Angelina’s concerts.

Angelina goes to her special world when she sings, a world that is unending and filled with happiness (how she has described it). Thankfully, she has the talent to take us to that special world.

How could Angelina have been so good so young. I think this performance was perfect, it just can't be done any better.

How is it possible that a little girl (only 8 years old) can be so incredibly emotional and talented as a professional singer and in such a simple and natural way that it completely engages and fascinates her audience? It is simply fantastic to watch and listen to her, when she closes her eyes it really seems that she is in contact with Dinah Washington and without any fear of her central position, immersed in the center of thousands of spectators, she sings quietly. When Angelina is so identified with her source of inspiration, she absolutely fascinates me and when she performs in this Norwegian festival "Sing-along at the Border", almost every year, she really gives the best of herself, you see she has a beautiful connection with the people around her. 😍 🤗❤️

Angelina's performance is so similar to Amy's, and we know that she idolized Amy, that this had to be her model. The nuances are so alike it's amazing. Angie sounds much more like Amy on this song than Dinah. We can only hope that Angie doesn't attempt to match Amy's lifestyle. @@wajj1842 Good job finding that earlier recording by Amy that was earlier than Angelina's performance, so she could have used it as a model. They sure sound alike to me.

Angelina is like that clean up batter in baseball-bases are loaded and she knocks it clean out of the ballpark. I saw Florence Henderson come out on The Tonight Show for only a few minutes saying "Do you know what it's like to follow an hour and twenty minutes of Red Skelton? (Red had been dominating the show for that length of time). It would be like coming out after Angelina had performed. The audience is blown away and nothing you can do will match that.

If you remember the Florence Henderson appearance, then you surely remember the famous appearance by George Gobel when he came out following Bob Hope and Dean Martin. He turned to Johnny and said, "Did you ever get the feeling that the world was a tuxedo and you were a pair of brown shoes?" Johnny, Bob and Dean totally lost it. One of the great Carson classics!

@@robertcarlson2807 I didn't watch the tonight show all that often. My mom would put us to bed at 8, when she went to bed. I would wait and listen for her to fall into a deep sinus rhythm, then get up and keep the TV low (I have always, even as a kid, get by on 6.5 hours of sleep a night). So, most nights I was watching the late movie on CBS. I only watched Johnny if there was someone on that I absolutely loved and Red Skelton was one of my heroes. My brother and I got into this huge scrape because on the news someone screwed up and said a Godzilla movie was going to immediately follow the news (instead of Johnny). I had to flip the channel, like every five minutes to prove that Godzilla wasn't on. He fell asleep about 11:15 (I had to carry him to bed). Johnny ended at midnight and then Godzilla came on. By then he was deep into dreamland and I only lasted about 10 minutes into Godzilla. With that said, I still woke up before my brother and had to get him up for chores (we lived on a small ranch in a small town and there were chores to be done before we went to school).

One time, we were going to fly somewhere and, as we were waiting at the gate, the people were getting off the plane that had just arrived. Among those getting off was Red Skelton. My mother said, "Go and shake his hand.", which I did. As I remember, he seemed like a very nice man. That was one of the first brushes with fame I had in my life!

@@robertcarlson2807 As a kid, Hollywood made four movies in our town (and continued to make movies there after I left) so I became ho-hum to most celebs (although I would have loved to meet Red or John Wayne). With that said, in my early days in the military I became friends with a couple of porn stars (don't go there-I was forever friend zoned) and they introduced me to other porn stars. I went to their gatherings a couple of times a year and so I was never star dazzled, but those friendships actually lasted for decades. Add in that because I had a rare specialty (sniper), several times I was ordered to work to work with other consultants and actors on films. I never got starry eyed and there were a few times I had to order actors to shut up and pay attention because they were running their mouths (don't ask who. If you think of actors with motor mouths that have taken military roles, you're on the right track. And no, I never taught them how to shoot but I train one in martial arts because he signed up for a class where I was the TA, but taught most of the time).

I glossed over your comments when I first listened to this video a couple of years ago. If I had paid more attention I would have pointed out Angelina's age was not 11 years old but I little younger, I think. Maybe someone has already pointed that out in the 137 comments that have been posted.

There is a video of Angelina being interviewed by a Norwegian tv station when she was 12 years old. The MC asked her if she felt like she was 12 years old and her insightful answer was, she felt like a 12 year old when she looked at her passport. I found her answer to be very humorous because to me, she is one of the most mature young females I have had the pleasure of viewing, even when she was 8. Love your channel by the way.

If you couldn’t see Angelina you would never believe she was eight years old. I was totally spellbound when I first heard her sing this song and she commands command of all the notes she is confident on the stage and I personally think it was totally pitch perfect.
