This is my 126th time experiencing this video, and each and every time it gets better. We must give credit to the support team behind this phenom. There is no one on earth that can match the talent of this STORYTELLER. AJ deconstructs a song then reconstruct it to make each individual hearing it feel it was written for them, a love letter to their comfort zone. Melrose Gallery is the same antique store in Hollywood that she used for My Funny Valentine AJ plays guitar, keyboard/piano, violin and flute. Don’t forget she writes music and was the youngest author in Norway to publish a book. No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can. At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been. What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Angelina’s sister Juliet sitting there, she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 83 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. Her phrasing in the last bridge is great. And she got Elvis’s ‘Oh Yea’ at the end of the song. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammys), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister. I think she was sent to us for showing all that there are some good and nice in the world. In today world she is a blessing to us all and we need to spread her so more will know her songs. You will be amazed at any song you pick. You will expect something and she surprises you every time in a good way. Angelina hits you inside like no other artists i know of. Her "Million Miles" original shows her love for her grandfather who passed away. I can recommend that one. She got a lyric, live and video version they are all good, but video might be the best to use. My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. Rob Christie is Playing Piano, and he is AJ's A&R person with Republic Records/Universal Music Group. That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Hi, Paul! A small correction, which is left, will upset many of Angelina's "Angels". For some reason, you are saying Angelica instead of Angelina. Having got that out of the way, thank you for returning to Angelina a second time and giving such a good reaction. I hope you will continue to feature her on your channel, as she is well worth every moment you spend watching and listening to her. While you may very often be surprised by her choice of song, I can guarantee you will never be disappointed by how she sings it. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aries (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).

A must hear original song is Million Miles. She wrote it age 13-14 for her Grandfather who passed away.

Angelina has always arranged her own music, beginning at age 6 when she had her first recording studio experiences. She performed this as a documentary/movie about Elvis was released in 2023. It starred Tom Hanks as Elvis' manager and Austin Butler as Elvis. Everything you see here has meaning. Elvis performed this at his "Come back TV concert in 1969" Elvis borrowed the red guitar from a member of his back-up band that day to match his and band members costumes. The man at the piano, a Grammy Award winner himself, is the Director of Studio Productions for Republic Records, Rob Christie. He has accompanied Angelina on covers for the last few years. It is no accident that she signed with Republic Records. The hairstyle, and leather, Priscilla Presley. There were two takes that day in the antique furniture store in LA. This was the first, the second was her cover of "I Have Nothing," by Whitney Houston. Another just incredible performance. The baby girl and older adolescent are Angelina's cousins, her Uncle Michael Astar's daughters. Michael is Angelina's manager and agent. The third young lady is Angelina's younger sister, Juliette. Angelina is truly Angelic!

You have a wonderful adventure ahead of you exploring her extensive catalogue of youtube videos. Be sure to experience her earliest videos going back to age 6/7 as she will never disappoint. You are correct. Her performances are flawless because even her imperfections are perfect.

This was recorded nearly 2 years ago, when she was 16yo. It was recorded 2-1/2 years after her AGT performance.

She throws us all for a loop. And yes, truly scrumptious. Her voice is hypnotizing and mellow. I have been following Angelina for years and never get tired of her. Olá! Vá em configurações (um icone em forma de engrenagem) do seu canal e encontre a opção "legenda" (é um botão-esquerda-direita que fica azul quando ligado). Tomara consiga acioná-lo! Wonderful reaction Paul....as we all like to say, Angelina does not cover songs, she uncovers them. She has an original Jazz song she wrote around 14 year old called "7th Heaven".
