There are many singers in the world! Good ones! Bad ones!. Some up and coming, struggling to be recognised! Some older world class singers that have been in the business a life time. There are many who for an easy payday strutt around the stage using their bodies with plenty of cleavage and short skirts to impress! Shaking their Booty at the world. There are those that have a political agenda or scream "save the planet". Singers of all kinds cashing in on whats trendy and in fashion at that particular time. Then there is Angelina Jordan! With her voice she can put the rest to shame! With her heart she can soothe the deepest pains! She does not cash in to WoW her bank Manager or put a Smile on the face of Republic Records. She does not need skimpy clothes or to use her Sexuality to gain a following. She sings for herself, she does it her way! When she opens her mouth, well i guarantee she will brighten your day. I don't think, it is necessary to lift Angelina up, by putting others down. Angelina herself would not do it. "Be kind to each other and spread love". We "Angels should also share her love&respect for other artists, whoever they are. And maybe, we older ones should take concerns of young generation people about the future of our planet more seriously. We left it for them like this... And she is standing there, 16 years old, her life just started, spreading love and shedding tears for the condition, we're in. Maybe we all need more humility...

In what way did i put any other singer down? My sincere apology if you got that impression but it was never my intent to come across like that. I was simply pointing out the many different approaches people take within the industry. People are free to enjoy entertainment in whatever form makes them smile! I have absolutely no problem with any of those different forms!. To add:- Just over 3 weeks ago i was at the London Stadium watching Weezer, Fallout Boy and Greenday with 2 of my Sons. On the 10th of July i was in Sandefjord watching Angelina at Kurbadhagen! I enjoyed both events equally but in many different ways. Some forms of music i don't enjoy but that is just personal taste! I have absolutely no problem with people who do enjoy those kinds of music because we are all different. I am very much an advocate for spreading the love message and i think Angelina does that very well. Spreading Peace, love and Unity should be the goal of everybody.

@@delmamekenya5286 I agree with you on Angelina holding people's attention. I'm a life long Led Zeppelin fan and Pink Floyd etc which musically is very different to our Angelina. I have however always been partial to singers like Norah Jones, Eva Cassidy etc. I'm not a fan of Rap music or EDM but at the same time i can appreciate the talent and craft that go into those genres.

Angelina is certainly on top of the music world - these Norway concerts have been so successful - Angelina got to feel the passion of her fans - we got the most incredible performances - she just keeps getting better - and she's not done yet!

What a fantastic good video. The only thing missing from it was some pictures of the audience when she started the concert with this song. This was a big surprise for everybody, people just looked at each other in bewilderment before they started enjoying it because of her fantastic presentation.

OMG, I'm shocked, I'm overwhelmed. What was THAT? I didn't know the original singer or this song. I listened straight away. Was interesting but not my taste. Then I listened to Angelina's version again, I don't know how many times, her version blows my mind, WOW. This girl kills me, Angelina's courage, her confidence with this song opening her concert. I'm absolutely sure everyone who hears Angelina's version was surprised. 💯 *AJ* 💯 I'm also sure that Angelina will surprise me many times and I'm really looking forward to it. 🤗🌟🤗

Great comments Albert and Geir! This really was a perfect opening number. Obscure enough to send her older audience to google and KZread search. The original was quirky yet hauntingly interesting. A wonderful canvas that allowed Angelina to beautifully color the song with her impeccable and unequalled jazz stylings. Mery should be overjoyed at the beautiful creative creature that she has wrought.

You're so right, AJ ... Mount Everest's got nothing whatsoever on you! What a way to start a concert ... a two-minute thrill ride just to make sure she has everyone's undivided attention. Loved especially her back and forth improvisation with the guitarist near the end; I'm looking forward to a lot more of that in the future. Total class act, and such attitude in this one.

Loved the back and forth with the guitar...reminiscent pf Plant/Page on "You Shook Me" and "Lemon Song". Agree that there should be more of that type of creativity.

Great video, thanks guys! I like how the band creates this sixties live Woodstock atmosphere with the open way of playing just minimal notes and rhythm. The guitarplayer seems to be in a Hendrix mode! And than that deep soul Angelina puts in her voice. She really is something else! Opening a concert this way is brilliant! Followed her "journey" now for a couple of years and although her personal life is mostly well protected the personality that comes thru is still humble, a bit shy, giggel-ish but sooo sweet and full of love! Most refreshing for me: she doesn't need to behave like boxers before a match. No challenging, stare down, "in your face" behaviour! No sexual provocation! But her voice says it all! Cool and pure quality!

Oh my I love it. I love that she try new stiles and way of singing. I'm so exited for what comes in the future. With Angelina you never know. Love it.

Dayum. She's just not a human. I've never experienced someone so gifted before. She nails EVERY song. One of these days she's gonna come out with a song that just destroys any other recorded vocalist known to modern society.

We “seasoned” fans understand her genius as we listen to songs we’re familiar with, but Angelina’s future lies with younger generations. What a beautiful journey this has been. And it’s just beginning!

OMW, I can't even find the rights words to describe how I feel whilst watching our AJ performing this song! Our own queen of blues/jazz. Best female vocalist by far! You can't compare Kurbadhagen ( Sandefjord ) and Kongsberg. Kongsberg Jazz Festival is a music festival that has been held annually in Kongsberg (Viken) since 1964. It is the most important Norwegian jazz festival, along with the Oslo and Molde Jazz Festivals. 38,000 tickets were sold in 2018. It was all the nicer that Angelina was invited at such short notice after it became known that Angelina was coming to Norway. 🤗🤗

As other said the sound setup at this concert was of course better as this is one of the most professional festivals in Norway, there were even big screens with the concert on. (Really hope they recorded the concert as well as displaying it on the screens). But standing in the audience (at least from where I was standing) I was extremely impressed by the sound mixing and the acoustics also in the last Sandefjord concert. From other videos (compared to mine] it seems that I was probably at some nice position, as the sound from the videos from at least the right side of the stage missed some detail and had way too much bass.

@@albertphilippi4371 The concert in Kongsberg and the first concert in Sandefjord were postponed concerts from 2020. Those were not planned last minute. Angelina has been performing at the Kongsberg Jazzfestival every second year since 2014.

I had to listen to the original version by Labrinth, it was different, then I listened to Angelina's version and was blown away! Love it! I believe she sang the song the way it was meant to be sung.

I’d never heard Angelina sing this one before, just I had never heard of Labrinth before, but being the ‘Angel’ that I am, I found Angelina’s version much more compelling and charismatic and still with lots of attitude. However, like you I noticed the changes in lyrics in order to sanitize the song. While I think she’s done a straightforward replacement of Labrinth’s “shit” to the more wholesome “bit”, after many listens I can still not work out what she replaced “I got me one gun and an alibi” with; is she just fudging it? (the phrase starts at around 1:27)

Even all her covers are great , this is the Angelina i love!
