Great reaction! You picked the very best one to make your return to Angelina. On November 6th, I cried all day for three reasons. First, because of the excitement over the release of Angelina's first single from Republic Records. Second, because of the sheer beauty of "Million Miles" - the music, the lyrics, the production quality and, most importantly, Angelina's astounding voice! Third, I went back to reminisce with some of my favorite reactors over the years (including you). Although I had viewed these reactions many, many times in the past, watching them now in light of this important milestone in Angelina's life and career was very emotional for me. I was glad to see you do this reaction because I always feel your honest appreciation of her talent and awesome voice. Your reaction of "Million Miles" did not disappoint. She wrote and sang about something that everyone can relate to and be comforted by. We have all lost someone who we loved, whether being separated from them by life or their death. At 67 I seem to be losing more and more people, but they are all here. We are never alone! I believe Love never Dies. Not only were her lyrics powerful and so deep, her beautiful voice and amazing delivery brought each word and thought directly to our hearts and souls. We are in such uncertain times in 2020 but there is something we can all take away from this song and experience hearing her beautiful tones , we are never alone, never alone ,never alone even though we are a million miles apart. I love Angelina's message and whether there are others listed along with her on the credits for the composition and lyrics. It is the beauty of Angelina's delivery and interpretation that show through and Again you can feel her Old Soul talking directly to our hearts and souls. Much like Amy Winehouse when she wrote and sang her personal 'signature' song Back To Black, Angelina pays respect to her departed grandfather with lyrics, tune and soul that brings tears to the eyes. It's as if Amy has passed the supreme baton to Angelina and said, make me proud, girl! She did.

Omeezy, welcome back, it's understandable, we AJ fans are addicted to her voice, but rightly not only her exists 🤗 So thanks anyway for your wonderful reaction to Angelina's new song. It's definitely a good start with Republic, a sweet and intense song dedicated to the grandfather and the people who have lost someone, but also full of hope, with beautiful lyrics, especially for a 14 year old girl, and her voice ... always more fascinating and so from "Angelina". Angelina and grandmother Mery, a beautiful story of an inspired family. I love her, she is simply amazing ❤️ ❤️ You can hear it a million times, I'm on the right track to do it, and I get upset every time ... and I love Grandma's drawings, they're so "right" for Angelina's voice and story. Angelina's slow advance on the steps towards the moon is of infinite sweetness, it's a beautiful portrait of her 🤗 The lyrics are hers, they are so "made in Angelina", they contain her sensitivity, her family, her affections and her love and make your soul cry thinking of someone you have lost.

Omeezy, we understand you can't do Angelina all the time.... but I knew you were going to love this one! As a big fan of rap (since its beginnings), I know your rap fans will appreciate a little Angelina occasionally too. Music is music, and if someone really appreciates quality music (whether it's rap or metal, reggae or opera) they are the kind of people that are going to appreciate the quality that Angelina brings to the music game. Quality is quality.... and Angelina is pure quality. She never misses. You mentioned once that you would love to get her for one of your hooks some day. I would love to see that ;) I think she could slide right into any song, any genre and fit it like a glove. BTW: Here is the statement Angelina made about this song..... Having another drastically different genre collaborate with a rapper isn't uncommon. The rapper Warren G collabbed with classical singer Sissel, Lecrae collabbed with Lindsey Stirling and Kid Cudi collabed with Dia Frampton for example. The music works well-worth checking them out!

I tend to do that if I really like someone ;) Dia put out tons of solo covers in her "Cover Mondays" series years ago. Although I do still have all my personal copies of them, many have disappeared from youtube. That playlist used to be well over 100 videos, but I had to clean it up and get rid of all the ones that are no longer available. I was so happy to see them get back together last year. One thing I always loved with the two of them together was the harmonies they would create. When Meg takes the high harmony, it always hits me in a special way :) I have found no artist EVER that hits me the way Angelina Jordan does, but Dia was one of my top favorites before Angelina came along. The song is beautiful, delivered by a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice and an even more beautiful heart. I think the imagery used in the video is amazing. It's based on artwork from Angelina's grandmother Mery Zamani, a noted Iranian artist and poet. There are a couple of things that jump out at me. First is the image of the girl with her arms outstretched like she's holding the moon. Well, I’ve listened and watched over, and over, and over now, and lost count. I can truly say that the Lyrics in this song are unbelievable for someone so young to have written. And they truly do come from Angelina’s heart, that’s obvious when you hear them, as does everything she sings or does. Her best original lyrics to date, bar none!
