Josh, The band is a very respected military brass band, doing their 200th anniverserie. This day the Prime Minister of Norway was present, no professional cameras were allowed. Audience was minimal, aobout 200 people. The band played Angelinas album "It´s Magic" in honor of their National Treasure. They love and respect her dearly. The conductor once asked her for advise during rehearsal (there is a video). Imagine a experienced 40+ years old military musician asks a 11 year old girl for advise, listens carefully and accepts her advise. That is why she got her nickname THE BOSS. Never bossy, always well mannered. Her uncanny feeling for music is today respected by musicians all over the world. If and when AJ tells you, as a musician "shouldn´t we take that part a note higher ??? You can bet your grandma on it, AJ is right. I saw a video, where the 12 yo girl wanted the keyboarder to change his playing and he did not understand. She courteously asked if she could show him on his keyboard, and she showed him, in a comic book you would have seen a light bulb. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family. Check out her 9 or so Adele covers. I would consider an Adele cover marathon. No one has done that and I would go in order. Or start with the following in order. I would watch Someone Like You, All I Ask and Easy on Me, I prefer all of hers over the originals. Adele is one of the best. But nobody can emit the emotion and soul of a song like Angelina. I think she reads the lyrics first before listening to the song. In this way she can understand the feeling and emotion the artist wants to convey. Then she arranges it to be able to dramatically convey the feeling and emotion to us. She takes iconic songs and makes them Angelina songs. Her vocals, tones and smokiness do the rest. She is already The Greatest of All Time! Just amazing and soon to become a Music Legend!

She is 11 or 12 here. When you see this and see that Angelina can really belt. You see that her choice not to do it is always a choice by the way this is in a park with a canal or river in front of the stage. The audience is not huge and is away from the Mike. Watch the conductors head go back when she extemporises. He invites the band to give her a standing ovation after. We'll deserved

STOP!!!....You are 100% correct. This may be the best cover ever of this song, and its from a 12 year old. However, this song here may be the greatest song ever NOT released. Its not a cover, but a demo. The songwriter, Baby Fuzz, recorded a awful version loosely based on Angelina's demo roughly 18 months afterwards. Some people commenting in other reactions refer to documentation that the co-writers of ISHOFY, who also helped AJ with ‘Shield’, asked AJ to record the demo, and that Baby Fuzz was unaware until after he released his version. Regardless, it is amazing.

Great reaction to 12-year old Angelina singing an iconic song like a 35-year old woman! The band (with which she produced her gorgeous pre-Republic Records album "It's Magic" at this same age -- it's on I-tunes & Spotify) is none other than the very prestigious official Military Staff Band of Norway. As you can tell from the reaction of the conductor and a couple of the band members behind Angelina, the band absolutely adores her!

@@primordialsimilarity6262 She recorded the album, It's Magic, in Nov 2017 when she was still 11. This was the album release concert in June 2018 when she was 12 1/2. She moved to LA sometime when she was 12, but not sure exactly when. She could have returned to Norway for this concert as she has always been an international traveler.

The band is based in Oslo and participates in parades and ceremonies for Norwegian royalty, the government and the armed forces, and tours throughout Norway and abroad. In addition, the band has an extensive concert schedule in the Oslo area. This is one of those concerts where Angelina was asked to preform with them. Angelina and this band have also recorded an Album called 'It's Magic' and is available on Amazon. Angelina was about 11 at the time.

It's a wonder I have any teeth left from gritting them together so hard when a reactor does that! Lol!

Since 7 years old, she's performed in front of 100's and into the 1000's at a time and, by her own statement, has NEVER been nervous singing on stage. It's definitely her "fish bowl"! Around this same year (age 11 or 12), she opened for Nora Jones in Tokyo, Japan, to a crowd of 40,000 people, who were loving every second of her -- and she was loving it back! Like Elvis Presley, she does tend to be somewhat shy and reticent when speaking in interviews. But when she opens her mouth to sing, fearlessness and miracles deluge forth!

I don't know what kind of speakers you are listening on but please try with headphones or earbuds, Angelina puts so many low volume tones in her singing, you are probably missing many delicious vocal decorations. Cheers!

Nice reaction, Josh! In case it's not already mentioned here, AJ has recorded an album with this band which includes this song as well as some other great covers and even some original material. This is the top military band in Norway, and the name of their album with AJ is 'It's Magic'. I highly recommend it's purchase!

Exactly, very comfortable. I think she's 12 here so she's been singing for 10 years and in front of others maybe 6 or 7? Very early on it was obvious she has no nerves on stage. It's her happy place. Some of these outdoor recordings have muddy sound quality but even that doesn't mask the quality of her voice and delivery. Even the band director of the Norway military band is impressed as we see him looking to her and shaking his head in surprise with her last belt. If you want to see her start on the international stage you could react to the four songs of her Norways Got Talent win when she delivered jaw dropping jazz and blues at 7 and barely 8 and a judge said "You are music". Hi, Josh. Yes, she makes it look easy. Vocal experts often comment on all of the telltale body signals that show "relaxed," and singing in a manner that does not harm the vocal cords. They note her tongue--where it is in the mouth, where it doesn't show tension, etc. Many of them comment how at even very young ages, Angelina Jordan has good artistic instincts and that what she does are intentional choices, not blind mimicking. There are older well known and seasoned singers that can only dream of having twelve year old Angelina’s vocal acuity. It’s obvious that Angelina was endowed with a highly developed intuition, instincts and innate feel for how to interpret the lyrics of the songs she sings. Her belief in herself, her extreme comfort, self confidence, and fearlessness is front and center in every performance.

Norwegian Military Band in Norway during a summer concert. She sang with them on many occassions.

You will find out, as one reactor/fan put it he has 20 of her songs in his top 5. She able to make all of her songs seem effortless, which for her they are. They just flow out of her and into us. People, this is a cover of a song that was originally recorded by 'The Godfather Of Soul', and had she sung this at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY, she would have garnered a standing ovation from the toughest 'Black Soul' critics on the planet and this is something, if you're white, it had better come up to the level of someone like Janis Joplin if you are hoping to dazzle an Apollo audience, for it is a rare feat to attain for white singers.
