Everytime when i hear it, i think it‘s unbeleivable for a 12yo girl to sing like she did

When James Brown sang this song, he put every ounce of energy he had in the performance. He sometimes had to be helped off the stage at the end & was out of breath sweating profusely . Angelina just stands there, swaying back & forth like it's nothing, yet the vocals are blasting out with total control. When she's done, she gives us her standard curtsy & a thank you. She's not sweating or out of breath, just another day at the office. This was the last song of the 16 song album release concert for her 1st album, "It's Magic."

James Brown was probably suffering from having "burned the candle from both ends" for years when he had these problems, while Angelina is at the peak of childhood physical health here. What is astounding is the fact that she seems to have a musical performance maturity that at approaches or even rivals that of James Brown in his prime - no disrespect to James Brown!

She won at age 8. She was 7 for her first performance and 8 for the next three.

Welcome to the club. She is a prodigy. Has been accompanied by quartets, quintets, big bands, philarmonic orchestras, has performer for QuincyJones, has composerd beautiful originals, RepublicRecords signed her and she is only 16 yold. Angelina will be one of the greatest singers of our time. First time I herrd her was with What a difference a Day makes. Could not believe it. I just love her. FYI she will give a concert in Norway in the summer.

Also, her mic and the level of the band are way off, they drown her out in places.. doesn't matter, her voice cuts through it all.

We are talking about taking on a standard by 'The Godfather Of Soul', Mr. James Brown. How good is it, especially with regard to the heights she reaches vocally...and effortlessly? Had she performed this at The Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY, which is the home of the toughest soul critics on the planet, Angelina would have received a standing ovation and I never remember a white artist ever receiving one, going way back to the 60's. Had Janis Joplin appeared there, but she didn't, I could see her getting a standing ovation for her soul singing ability, but no other white singer comes to mind who would have been honored by the audience in this way.

Angelina is a great addiction to have, take my word for it. The sign of a great artist, no matter how many times I listen to her songs I still get the same feeling I got the first time. And watching new people discover her is very rewarding. She is single-handedly resurrecting this great music.

I saw your reaction to "I put a spell on you." I knew you would love this one, and i loved your reaction. It's unreal that a 12 year old (in this video) norwegian girl, can sound like this. I don;t know if you know, she performed for Quincy Jones at his 85th birthday party at the 02 arena in London for 20,000 where stars gathered to play his work. She opened the concert with Fly Me to the Moon. Her rehersal video is available if you search for it. She was 12 years old. Quincy was quoted saying something like “she’s most talented artist since Michael Jackson.” Check out her most recent release of My Funny Valentine Feb 2022. She is 16

I got in right from the ground floor. Angelina singing "Fly Me to the Moon, closely followed by - wait for it - Gloomy Sunday" Yes, THAT Gloomy Sunday. AND she was BRILLIANT! Took my heart out of my chest with her tiny little hands and kept it ever since. Angelina is a wondrously amazing girl. She even sings in Japanese if she wants to. Oh Yeah. :)

So smooth, controlled, and effortless. To her it's never about her. It's always about the song, staying true to the song. Never oversing it with useless runs. Never putting herself first. Always focusing on the integrity of the song, delivering the meaning, feeling, and the deepest emotions intended by the writer. By being a projector of the song she draws the attention and the emotions from the listener. No one delivers and elicits the emotions better than AJ. Great reaction.

Gotta check out Heal the World by MJ....she doesn't wear shoes while she performs because she came across a little girl with no shoes and the girl liked her shoes so she gave the girl her shoes and will not wear any until every child in the world has shoes! She won Norways Got Talent at 6! SHE WAS BORN MANY MANY OLD SOULS FOR SURE!

How can she take an original song that was a great hit and make it so much better than it was ever performed in the past? She is a talent that is so great and unlike anything we have ever experienced. I have experienced all the greats in my 74 years, but none come close to Angelina Jordan.

Her and her family have control of the record deal. The label IS NOT able to promote her with out Angelina's permission. But once she is ready she will sit upon throne, its her birthright.

I'm going to give you my subscribe but this girl has a huge body of work and I want to hear more more and more.

I envy you for the discoveries you still have ahead of you. You may think you know her sound but she will surprise and amaze you many times. Angelina can sing any genre she chooses and no song is too big or "untouchable" for her to master. You will discover that many of her home video covers were first takes, chosen at random with her guitarist right before the recording, with no practice. She is that good. II has been said that Angelina always holds back in rehearsals ,so he had heard her prior to this performance in rehearsal but she must have held back on the ending and blew them all away with that epic ending That is what she does , explodes in performances with something not heard prior. As regard her being promoted, her family have insisted contractually that she not be overly marketed until her schooling is finished. In England she’d been 7 here lol
