Angelina Jordan, What A Difference A Day Makes. She was only 8.

This was the first phase for finalists. She was advanced to the finals with the golden buzzer she received for her audition. There's one more performance, but it was a group event and not judged. Behind the scenes, Angelina was not advanced further into the competition since she refused to sign a contract that would have put her under an AGT affiliated label. More than a few artists have complained over the years that these contracts were horrible to live under. Their music, their release schedules, and their performances. Angelina was even courted by Disney, but she turned them down. Angelina (14) did sign later that year with Republic Records, as they shared Angelina's vision for her music. They gave her complete artistic control, and they didn't want to put her on a hamster wheel, like other contest winners. Republic Records understood that Angelina is golden; there's nothing they would want to do to disturb Angelina's genius. Another benefit has been the artists she can associate with in Republic. We saw this with her "Suspicious Minds" performance. Accompanying her on piano was Rob Christie, 2x Grammy recipient and Studio Director for Republic Records. We have heard that there's an album that's being worked on with AJ. We may see its release around the time she graduates high school in the spring of 2023 at 17. One of the best aspects of Angelina entering into her full-time career, we hope, are concert dates in the US. Having to fly to Sweden or Norway to hear her performances isn't something most of us can afford in time or money. But when she starts performing in the US, we will be there.

That little giggle at the end gets me every time. And that last note - perfectly placed pitch in that last chord structure. Angelina Jordan has me on the Yellow Brick Road.

Nice reaction....One song she sings that shows the true purity of her voice, you'll find on a cover of Lana del Ray's 'Young & Beautiful.' She must be the only singer in the world that can take the word "WILL" and make it a five syllable run!! She IS a star that truly is young and beautiful.☺😇

I love when she sings “I didn’t sign up with you” it cuts to a shot of Simon. It’s around the 1:53 mark in the video.

Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another masterful performance where Angelina adds her own "magic" to a well known classic song. If you listen to the very beginning of her Bohemian Rhapsody video, you'll hear Heidi introduce her as the winner of Norway's Got Talent in 2914 (Angelina was 7). Her performance of Yellow Brick Road is a very interesting choice - & if you listen closely to the lyrics you will hear her foretelling of the outcome of the "competition". (Btw - Angelina's family allowed her to participate on AGT - but only so long as they did NOT have to sign AGT's standard contract. Shortly after finishing with AGT, 14 year old Angelina signed a contract with Republic Records. And a little while later, Angelina released her 1st song - Million Miles - a masterful, emotional song that paid tribute to her late grandfather.) Thank you. You are right at age 13 and she has one more song she did on AGT (13) if you want to bounce back and hear sing a Disco song.... yes the Jazz singing angel did a Disco song at age 10 called "I will survive".... that one should get a smile out of you while you listen to it!!

I know you started with when she was young on Norway's got talent but there's one when she was even younger that you have to check out and thats " I who have nothing " 1st time in the studio when she was 6yrs old ...

Did you notice the print on the T-shirt that she wore?

She did this song on the same show, her second one, one month later. This version was based on Sara Bareilles' version. Did you notice a painting of her younger self (when she was 7 or 8) on her T-shirt? You should take a second look 🙂. You need to check out her at age 6 - I who have nothing it's pretty good.

Also I have been told that when she entered this competition she had an idea of what she planned to sing, but Simon asked her to change it to this. Other contestants refused to change. That is why Simon in his comment to this praised her for taking risks.

@@103mrg exactly marcelito still sang the song he's sung in other competitions. Angelina had to do a quick scramble and found a version of the song on line she could adapt. Personally I love her version of this song.

Hi, MV. Angelina Jordan may have turned 14 by the time of this performance. Not sure. I really like that long, mind-blowing "road." And the way she sings "toad." This was her song at the finals after getting Heidi Klum's golden buzzer for Bohemian Rhapsody. Yes, AGT Champions involves all of the winners of Got Talent shows around the world. The voting for it is different than most Got Talent shows. Simon's response to this performance was to say that she took a 50 year old song and made it current and relevant. Apparently Elton John gave feedback about her performance, but I don't remember where I read that. Are you interested in hearing any of Angelina's original songs? She has "Million Miles" written after her maternal grandfather died. "7th Heaven" was written during Covid shutdown. Earlier songs were "Oslo," "What Is Life," and a James Bond sound influenced "Shield." You might visit the 3 older ones. Her 2023 album is expected to have new original material on it. @@103mrg I've read it about 3 times here on You Tube. Quincey Jones said that Angelina was as good as Michael Jackson when he was her age. That's quite a complement.

This could have been Angelina's way of stating she wouldn't be going down the usual musical discovery path for Simon. In any event it was another inspired musical triumph tailored by her voice and style. The next...there are so many excellent ones. Ivan, the guitar player said he had real problems playing for her in these home sessions because she was so good it was distracting to him.

Not so little anymore. About 6 foot tall now. Taller than me and many other men. Check out the T-Shirt with the painting of her younger self that Claude mentions. I believe it was painted by her Grandmother Mery Zamani. I have been looking for a copy of it but have not found it. Must not have used for her merchandise page. Wish she and her family would produce a T-shirt for her Merch page that uses it.l If anyone has found one, tell me where. 👣

At 13 yo she was almost 6ft tall so she has a lot of big sounds but she chooses when to show them. Watch I Rather Go Blind

There's so much to recommend, but you could try Cry Me a River, at the Proysenfestivalen. Get the sound enhanced version. It's a live concert she did at age 11, and she was on fire!

If not please check it out!! I love film, from its a wonderful life to marvel or pride and prejudice just at least watch an episode if you get time sir, doesn’t have to be on camera. But that would be cool as well.

IMHO this song as it is sung... is based on her frustration and disdain for the music promotion industry, contracts... etc. She likely has been informed that she can NOT win cause her parents (understandably) refused to sign in contracts required of them to be eligible for either of top two? spots. Your descriptions are very unalgorithmically lacking in video and channel info. I highly suggest you check out some videos about the importance of including video descriptions. But regardless, I was looking because I was hoping to find info about how or where to give video suggestions. Or dono for guaranteed ones. It will leave you speechless - Harry Mack Omegle Bars (any of them, really… but I’d suggest 45 or 52) the best off the top freestyle rapper in the world and it’s not even close Both of these will bring you such a bigger and super diverse audience who are very loyal and engage a LOT
