Ha, ha...great comment. I'm in my seventies now, and having first listened to this wonder at the young age of 69 I made the exact same promise to myself, though I admit to cutting it off at 150 (I have some lung issues, and I'm not quite THAT full of hubris), but I think that will get me far enough along to go with a smile on my face, knowing that it will be her voice coming out of the speakers at my funeral service. Provided, of course, that we're still doing that sort of thing then. : -)

We become accustomed to Angelina’s abilities as she demolishes songs with her talent. We compare her to the original artists, and many times we like her better. But what’s astounding is that we rate her performances against classic songs by Whitney, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lana Del Ray, even James Brown... But could you image Amy Winehouse singing this Whitney song? Or Adele covering Screamin Jay Hawkins? Or James Brown singing Yellow Brick Road? Angelina takes on everyone at their best, and even if you don’t think she’s as good or better on every one, she never disappoints you with her talent, musicality, emotion, and homage to the original singers. Her versatility is really astounding-whether she’s belting out a Whitney classic or mesmerizing the audience with Bohemian Rhapsody. I can, and have, listened to her songs so many times, but I never get tired of hearing them over and over.

I agree but you forgot Etta, Nina, Frank, Elvis, Screamin' Jay, Freddie, George Harrison, the Righteous Bros, Elton, Tom Jones, Michael Jackson, the Mamas and Papas, Billie Holiday and some that don't immediately come to mind. To your point, she is beyond amazing. Look at these names and their careers. Unbelievable. And as you say who of these masters could pull off covers of the others.

You're so damn right sir!!! This girl is a true genius of art, she is like a fantastic new music instrument. I mean you can take any song, any genre, and she will deliver! She's really a new and unique discovery! I'm a fan since 2015 and I never felt this excitement for any other singer or musician before! Can't imagine her next 5 or 10 years!! Amazing Angelina!!

Adele covering Screaming J Hawkins??????? Come to think about, I really have been taking Angelina's abilities for granted.

You may get flack for saying it is on par Whitney (and I agree that it is). Whether or not it is equal to Whitney is anybody's opinion, but it should be pointed out... Whitney was 29 when she recorded this song. Angelina is 13 here and is so good that it is even a question if it is on par. There are no other covers of this song where it can even be honestly compared to Whitney. The amazing thing about Angelina.... it's not just whitney. There is nobody that can cover Amy Winehouse as comparable as Angelina. There is nobody that can cover Lana Del Rey as comparable as Angelina. She is able to pick up on subtle little things that make these artists unique and incorporate those things in her covers.... while at the same time adding enough "Angelina" in there to make you know it is her. This is what makes her so special... there may be some people that can "impersonate" some other singers, but that is not what Angelina does. She embodies their essence, while still being herself. ...and she does it unlike anyone I have ever seen.

@Photo and Video Hawaii I love how Angelina sometimes "mispronounces" words. Her album "It's Magic" has been available as a CD, streaming and download for sometime. I also have Nico Cartosio's vinyl and CD album "Melting" The only vocal on the otherwise classical styled album (last song) Nico scored especially for Angelina with lyrics from an 18th century Robert Burns poem. It is hauntingly beautiful thanks to Angelina.

Yes, that's true. I could say she has "flavours" of some of the most iconic singers ever existed from Billie Holiday to Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Julie London, Etta James. Even Elvis and Frank are part of her style. We also have Adele and Joss Stone as inspirations too. She's so smart she may be picking the best of each one.

@Photo and Video Hawaii The thing that makes your analysis so good is that you pointed out some of her flaws, while still placing her at the top of your ranking (the Dimash thing will get you some flack). I never look for "perfect". I'm not sure I'd know it if I found it. I look for something that makes me FEEL; whether it's a poem, a movie, a novel, or a song. And she does that every time. There are many things that make her special. But for me, that's the most important one. And of course, her versatility is not to be denied. Who else can cover so many different artist and so remarkably well---often better than the artist she is covering? There simply isn't anyone else. Which pretty much places her in a category by herself---because no one else can do what she does.

Photo and Video Hawaii I completely agree with your comment and it is refreshing to hear someone acknowledge that she can be imperfect (especially since so many of her covers seem to be one-offs that she is recorded in her home studio) and still be the once in a lifetime genius we all know her to be. If you get flak from the Dimash fans because of your comment about him just let them come. Then step aside at the last minute. They will come face to face with the “don’t you dare acknowledge Angelina’s imperfections” crowd. Then just grab some popcorn.

There are so few adults that would even attempt to sing this. At 13 Angelina did it justice with total respect for Whitney!

I agree with you 100 % some people think because you mention their down fall ( drugs) that we are being disrespectful , but your right it was ashamed that they were given a gift and didn't see that , I'm with you I'm praying for them not to cave to the evil temptations of drugs . its such a shame to be loved and don't see its a good thing.

To me even more amazing is her walking into sound booth at six and singing “I Who Have Nothing “. Or scrolling through KZread at age two looking fo Jazz artists. Or, strolling through her home at age five talking to interviewer in English showing her toys. She stops and picking up plastic toy guitar says guitar not good and starts singing “Rolling In The Deep “. The question of course is how???

Just for your curiosity, even Whitney had to lower down the key of the song to perform in a live show. The key is the delivery, the passion in singing. As I mentioned even Ariana Grande can sing and reach the high notes. So does Jessie J. But both deliveries were so "unsalty" , so feelingless.

My observation was misplaced, sorry. I just wanted to say that even she as a diva had to "softner" the delivery from time to time. Angelina from the other side as a fearless singer she delivers hard songs even in live performances. Concerning to the age... Only God knows. And It's almost unfair to compare people from very distinct generations. I assume there were much more means for Angelina to practice than for Whitney. But there's something very intriguing about Angelina: the video at age 1 and a half already showed she was trying to follow the melody of the song "I will always love you". Actually she was born with something else.

She just turned 13 here. Just wait, your in for many more surprises from Angelina. She has over 125 videos and all are fantastic. At 6 she recorded, I who Have Nothing (complete) and it's not like any other 6 year old you will hear. Enjoy, and we will enjoy watching your reactions! Fable, take Phil's recommendations, they are all amazing performances. But the most amazing thing is I could give you 6 more that are equally as good & would blow your mind. Other fans (AKA "Angels") could give you 6 more & on & on & on. Angelina is a virtual jukebox with 130 songs, so far.

And if you dare you can just compare to Joss Stone performances (This is a Man's World, I Put a Spell On You), Lady GaGa (Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye, very glamorous, well recorded but empty of emotions), Christina Aguilera (got a hold on me, and we're comparing a live against a studio recording here). Something that separates her from the others is the self confidence on her voice control. Most of professional singers usually has one or two very dificult songs to perform. She may have more then 10 already. And they're live performances, mostly with no good accoustic. Even Whithey had to lower the key once because of a live performance.

...and she gives that little wave and smile at the end as if nothing happened. Amazing as usual

Agree, Its a man's world is my favourite song of Angelina's, such power for one so young, the audio only version seems to be better sound quality than the video.

I listen to her songs over and over, just awestruck at her deeply layered talent and innate musicality. I do have one person you might want to hear do this song. I will say though it’s a grown woman, but she is often compared to someone having the talent of The great voices of all time. She is a woman of great character and beauty as well. Angelina not only sings magnificently, she does so in a way that always respects and honours the original artists. It's as if she does not seek her own fame, so much as remind us of the beauty of songs we had begun to forget. She is in a different category from most artists. Like James Joyce redefined what English literature could be; I suspect she will define what music can be, and perhaps even what fame should mean.
