Ollie, let me speak for Angelina's army of 'Angels' and say we waited around for your reaction to Adele's 'Easy On Me'. I understand your reasoning to hold back a few days and you deserve a lot of respect for your decision. Watching one of your reactions is part of the Angelina experience because we know how much you care for her and it's a 'can't miss moment'. In reference to your question, "How does she do this?", I believe it is because of the love that comes from deep within her, her soul, when she sings. It is not manufactured. It's a natural phenomenon. Her overall artistry including her vocal gymnastics and lyrical interpretations reflect her genius but she transforms the love in her heart into her voice and it is so powerful she touches our hearts. And, of course, we know what a beautiful and wonderful person she is and there is never a doubt of her sincerity when she sings. Like the saying goes, "She's the real deal!"

I believe her Grandmother's recent surgery made it easy for Angelina to draw emotions for this performance. Angelina was very visibly upset when Mery was in the hospital not to mention her younger sister Juliette. Very touching watching that clip.

Some have put forward the idea that Angelina interpreted the lyrics in a way that she was asking us all to be patient, that her path was chosen for her at an early age and that she needs time to grow..it’s an interesting interpretation I think. Actually that was grandma Mery who’s had a recent health scare..she is who the performance is for IMO.. I’d like to wish you the very best in your personal situation too..I do hope things go well. 🙏

If I was a millionaire I would travel the world going ahead of her like John the Baptist did for Jesus, telling everybody about this wonderful human being , and singer called Angelina that sings, and speaks the language of love, and hope, and Crarity, like a modern day Mother Teresa.

I'm with you.

She sang You Were Always On My Mind in memory of her grandfather and it was raw emotion. She even breaks down at the end of the song.

She lost her grandpa not long ago. Her grandma just got out of the hospital. I heard it was something pretty serious. I'm sure she had images of doom in her eyes. She loves her grandma, I can tell. Real love! She and her little sisters eyes were flowing with tears of desperation and fear. ( I know the feeling ) oh, that was her grandma, not her mom. Her mom don't look much older than Angilina! 😮 Great reaction! 🇺🇸👍🔥

Don’t forget that Angelina reached out to her fans asking for good thoughts prior to Mery’s surgery. A video she posted on TikTok showed Angelina and Juliette crying as Mery (her Grandma) was wheeled into surgery. All apparently went well and the view of who you identified as her mother is actually Mery. It’s as if she was thanking us for thinking of her dear Grandma. ❤️❤️❤️ 👣

I also have been touched deeply by the sound and soul of Angelina, to the point of wonder. She has been a gift to me in my older age and has inspired thoughts and memories. Music has been a lifeline all my life and l can't remember shedding tears or having a lump in my throat because of a singers performance. Angelina has done this to me several times.

The woman in studio at beginning is her Granma Mery, mentor and jazz coach, recently had a operation (cancer?) about 2 weeks before recording this.

The guesses as to what the song means to Angelina have been interesting and we'll never really know unless she tells us. We can never forget, however, that we've always marvelled at her skill in finding and conveying the emotion in a song that has always been a hallmark of hers. I never really wondered what kind of connection there was between her and 'Gloomy Sunday" and 'I Put as Spell on You", I just knew that she intuitively understood the emotions, even if she didn't understand the lyrics. 😎

In my mind she is truly an Empath. She seems highly sensitive and compassionate towards those around her. The way she expresses her feelings both during her songs and verbally in conversations is phenomenal and such a pleasure hear. She truly is a gift from heaven. Case in point is the reason she performs without shoes. A wonderful story about the actions from a gifted Angel. In my 75 years I have never hear or seen a person like her. I really feel honored to experience her artistry. ❤️

Deep. I wonder if it's feasible that Adel wrote these passages with a common genre of the pain in human relations particularly divorce.. Angelia moves through the passage of human relations and is particular to her family and her journey through fandom. Make it her own.

I get the feeling Angelina has a depth of emotional intelligence to start with, but life has handed her some losses at a young age that bring her compassion and identification with feelings. It's not that you have to have experienced the same exact loss to identify. So the way I feel Angelina's emotional singing is that she draws on her own experiences and identifies them with some of the lyrics when picking what she wants to sing. Just a feeling of mine. The more that I listen to Angelina I am convinced she is an Empath,. She is super sensitive to humanity as a whole and recognizes the emotional aspects of what a person is going through almost instinctively. How she does it is a mystery but evident in all that she does. In my 75 years I have never heard another artist convey emotions at a higher level. I have listened to her version of this song well over 100 times and in each case my eyes leak a little moisture. We are so fortunate to experience this young phenomenal human being. ❤️

That is Angelina's grandmother who just went through surgery for cancer which was very emotionally difficult for Angelina.

The woman in the beginning is Mery Zamani, Angelina's grandmother and the person she is probably closest to. They have a very special bond, and really, there would be no Angelina as we know her without Mery. As far as Angelina's performance goes, I have listened to Adele's and several covers (about 10), and for me, Angelina's is a rung above all of them. I've heard Angelina's more than 30 times now, and I just can't find a flaw. And of all the songs she has performed, this one showcases more of her talent and control than any other (IMO): range, vibrato, falsetto, belts, runs, and of course, her unique tone and emotion. It is PERFECTION!!! And certainly one of, if not the Best of her performances.

Angelina, the vocal diamond.

Angelina wrote the song Million Miles about the loss of her grandfather demonstrating that she has an understanding of loss. I'm sure she channelled that emotion in Easy On Me.

As I loved also the way she wanted to reassure us about her grandmother's health, she did it with infinite delicacy and sweetness, their heads side by side almost counterbalancing the detachment that Adele writes about in the song. Her voice is truly enchanting and her ability to vary pitch, power and tempo so smoothly and elegantly during her performance is absolutely unique. Claudio, when Angelina begins her first world tour, I don't know when you will jump aboard, or where that will be, but wherever each one of us gets the opportunity to see her live in Concert there will be a moment when Angelina speaks to the audience and, if we can keep it together and not faint (!), she will tell us her family is with her and they are in the audience. She will point them out and the audience will burst into applause for an extended period of time expressing to her and her family how much they respect and love them. It's the whole thing with Angelina. Love and Angelina are synonymous and her love will always be in our hearts.

I have something to show you." There parked behind my Pontiac Grand Prix was a 1936 Bentley. That was a very memorable ride and the last time spent in my bud's company as he returned to the Euro racing circuit disappearing into history. Angelina's Christmas Concert that aired on the 23rd and is available through the 31 of Dec, with the quality and history of musicians that were involved, it shows how much Republic Records believes in, and are willing to invest in’ our Angelina Jordan’s unbelievable talent. She is one of the greatest talents the world has experienced! The concert was magic!!!!

Since you asked, I'm going to go WAY out on a limb here . . . I will share with you what I feel is Angelina's unique viewpoint that led to her great interpretation of this song. I believe Angelina immersed herself in what her life would have been like if she had been raised in a much less warmly supportive environment than she has been -- or even ones as dysfunctional as some of her musical role models had. She was actually feeling empathy in this song for that much less fortunate Angelina -- and for other performers before her who lacked the support they needed . . . . . . and when she was done, I'm sure she appreciated what she has today through her amazing family even more.

Doesn’t get any better than this. Her voice is magic for the motions for power yes, warm and soft she tells a story do you master or is a master storyteller Ola I’m gonna watch her to one and a half.

Just a, "winging it", guess here but after years of listening, Angelina has an amazingly gifted "ear" that sets up her incredible voice. I think she hears music differently than we mere mortals and on the way to her brain it runs through her heart first and then when she sings it passes through the heart again. Or.... she is an Angel.

My take is this, Angelina feels the emotion in music deeply, and she has mastered all the vocal tools to produce emotion in a performance, breathiness, vibrato, melismas, vocal fry, timing, coloration, raspiness, dynamics, all that good stuff, and she loves and appreciates her fans, so she opens the floodgates and gives it her all, for us. I just thought of one other thing about her singing, so I'll stick in here because this cover represents it well. Adele enunciates the lyrics clearly, which is nice, but Angelina deliberately improvises on words jazz-style which I think makes it interesting and involves the listener more.

Great reaction. In my opinion, Angelina is a very empathic person and can relate to other's feelings and situations. I personally think she simply puts herself in the position of the subject of the song and expresses how they feel. Which makes her a very good actor with out of this world singing ability. That's why she can go to that place inside her (acting), and make us feel the lyrics to the point of tears, then at the end get that little girl smile, often with a giggle, and wave goodbye. I believe she would be very good on stage or screen. And who knows, maybe that will happen someday.

Just to start with that was Angelina’s grandma not her mum her grandma has been in hospital and had an operation so it was great to see her on the mend she adores her grandma Mery and we’ve a lot to thank her for Angelina knows music and lyrics so well so when she sings a sad song she’s in her own world 🌎 the world 🌎 of Angelina. Btw - the older woman who she's hugging at the intro is her grandmother who recently recovered from surgery. If this made any king of sense, I think one of the blessings from Angelina is EMPATHY. She can put herself on anybody's shoes, feel from them,understand them and transmit from them to us on a universal language called interpretation. And so far every shoe she tries... have been a Perfect fit.

After I discovered Angelina Jordan over two years ago and listened to several dozen covers by her I started watching some reactions to her. Your were one of the first reactor back then. First was Sandy then we had the Wolf pack, Gray, Rockin, and Lone. Your the last of the pack still working with us AJ fans. Your journey has been eventful. a neighbor passed away, you lost your dog, were in the hospital with neck surgeries, and I remember you talking about your Moms’ singing and your music background. Thank you for staying true for us and for covering several other very talented singers as well. Angelina is still my favorite and even though I’ve watched every song she’s done hundreds of times I still get teary eyed just like you she ring her again.

Thank you for coming alone my side through these experiences. It makes us who we are. Like AJ emotional singing. WOW what a joy to have this angel with us.

Adele has many millions of fans around the world. Did you know Adele and her video and song had more than 10M views in the first two days. I read that somewhere. I always get that covers help promote the original artist and the original song. Many young people are introduced to them (the original artist and the song). It is also free advertising for them, all the artists involved. IMO, it’s a “Win, Win” situation for everyone. I love Adele’s song-writings. She’s at the top of the list (again). There is a lot of similarities between Adele and Angelina. I won’t be surprise if (musically) Angelina writes to Adele’s world-wide popularity. Who knows? Maybe even surpass her numbers. I mean, Angelina is still only 15 years old.

I believe she was born with "Empathy".......Dictionary definition..... the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another of either the past or present without having the feelings, thoughts, and experience fully communicated in an objectively explicit manner also : the capacity for this....This is an attribute, I believe, she has due to her family ties - closeness - and the fact again that she was born with it. Thus her ability to express songs......It cannot be faked which people can immediately see thru. Hence why others singing a song and it will come out different than another. I know a few people with this attribute. (and there are only a few in this world) I have always envied them. But then I see that I would never have survived this world if I did because I do not have the same familial connection as she does with hers.

Angelina is simply the best...

You might be right about how she gets her inspiration. I think she is a total master at her craft and loves deeply singing at the high level that she's able to sing. She knows and respects her tremendous gift and sings her heart out.

I tear up just seeing Angelina cuddling with her grandma Mery who has recovered from a recent surgery (not known for what). Have to believe Angelina connected to the lyrics for different reasons than Adele. I hear sadness when Adele sings the song and I hear hope when Angelina does. Adele is an awesome songwriter, but I agree with you Angelina's vocals are more soulful. Would be great if all reactors did wait at lease a week but really don't think the early reactions hurt the views for the original all that much. I thank you very much for providing a link to Angelina's Cover Channel in your description and I along with other angels have been encouraging all reactors to provide links to the original video as well as her 2 KZread channels. Reactors are quick to ask viewers to subscribe to their own channel while never showing love to the artist (especially aspiring ones) by verbally encouraging viewers to use the links in the description. I wanted to say thank you so much for your comment. That is the number one reason why i started doing KZread in the first place, was to share the music with others. I try very hard to let people experience the artist and hope they go to there channel and check what other nuggets they can find.

i'm curious also..dr lee is head of oncology dept which is the study and treatment of cancer. i'm not 100% sure but i think her specialty may be breast cancer...

I love that you have such a big heart recognizing the beauty and talent from this beautiful singer. I myself get emotional listening to songs that touch my heart.

1st: It was Grandma Mery Zamani, she was hugging in the beginning. Mery has just to go through a dangerous cancer surgery, which went sucessful, but was very painful for Angelina, because there is a strong bonding between her and Mery. You can literally feel it in the hugging. 2nd: She is such a child. her parents live seperated. 3rd: she has been six/seven years old, when she decided to become a "supersterna". Her Mother, Uncle and Mery did everything, to make her dream get possible, protected and supported her, even went to LA with her. Now she is 15, and maybe thinks, she missed something (I was still a child, didn't have the chance to feel the world around me) and asks her "Shield" to "take it easy on me"... In her original "Shield" she had already said "forgive me for all, that I am", and in 7th Heaven she mentioned: "sometime I feel all my dreams are slowly fading", and that "7th heaven on my shoulder falls heavy". So, it is really possible for her in many ways, to relate to the song.

She is Total Zen to listen to. 😀

Thank you for your reaction. I totally agree with your observations about Adele's performance of her song and I mention it in other reactors reaction videos. Its not her mom but her Grandmother . The irony is that Adele have in a few hours over a million views and maybe has also a good change to get a Grammy for it. Here is a 15 year old artist that gave so many times more meaning to the songs that she covered than the original artists and the world out there didn't really take notice of her talent. By the way, I am for many years an Adele fan.

Angelina's time has not yet come. Even Amy Winehouse didn't hit the world until she was 20, let alone Adele. Danielya, Diana, Grace, Olivia all have and are in their full swing, without reservations. When Angie opens the gate, Republic will do what it is good at(exposure). Then the world will get ( to use a current stupid expression) WOKE!

if you see how often she close her eyes, that's when goes into her soul...then brings us into that world, than her words around you, than she got you.

Great job sir. I was looking forward to hearing you get to this Angelina milestone. She ain't at the kid's table anymore! We know that Angelina can make us believe what she sings whether she has experienced something or not. How she does this (even from a young age) is quite the mystery but the reality is she can and does. You ask what Angelina might be thinking as she does this. No answer is certain but here is my attempt. In a similar way that musicians in studio lay down individual tracks for the drums, the bass line, and the backup singers etc., so too can we say that in a sense, songwriters put an emotion “track” on their work. This source is not uniformly listened to or evenly grasped by all singers as some sing almost mechanically, some focus on eye-popping notes or other vocal gymnastics, and still others hardly focus on the singing but stress the visual whether it be an outfit, on-stage dancing, or stunning videography. Some lack the vocal skill to deliver it properly. By contrast, Angelina hears, senses, and understands this emotion track perfectly and delivers it to her listeners unapologetically and powerfully. Not only that but she has absorbed the skills from all the many monumental singers and songs that she has covered and so can bring a nearly limitless emotional firehose (of both feeling and technique) to bear on a project, on a phrase, on a note, even on silence. She has all the necessary artistic skills to instinctively touch that nerve that runs to our heart. The result is as breathtaking as it is unprecedented. That is why we can hear a song numerous time yet get leaky eyeballs only when we hear Angelina perform it. That is why she can here, as you mentioned, seemingly bring more Adele to the story that even Adele herself. Stunning!

The way Angelina sings has nothing to do with what she experienced in her life. She lost both her grandfathers in 2018 & 2019, but Angelina could make us emotional even before that. The lady on the video is her grandmother and not her mother.

A great analogy of what Angelina brought to this song, another level to the lyrics of "Easy on Me". Angelina maturity far exceeds her very young age of 15 yrs., she sings with such powerful emotion without experiencing life as an adult ? One thing is constant throughout Angelina music is her jazzy voice that pours out enormous emotion went she sings a sad song. Kudos to Adele's for her performance of "Easy on Me", sharing her personal experience with her family going through divorce !

On Shield she has the line 'forgive me for what I am'. I think she is conscious of the sacrifices family has made for her. I think she dings this to her little sister. I think the lyrics are really relevant to Angelina which is why she covered this so quickly after it's release. I think she just could not wait. It spoke to her. Vocally were she thickens her vocal cords. It's that doundvyou make when those tissues thicken when you are choked up with tears, your voice becomes thicker and your are more nasal.

There is a article written by a couple of researchers about AJ .,it is some fact and some supposition , some of their conclusions were in music she was a prodigy , probably a empathy ,which would acount for the emotions she add to almost every song, and signs of being introverted , I don't know if any of this is true or not but it is interesting . Oh the lady at the start was her grandmother
