This was the first song I heard from her. Never heard of her. 5 seconds into song and just couldn’t believe the voice. His pretty much the reaction of all first -time listeners. Total shock and joy, and she doesn’t even break a sweat. This is great robot test. Play five seconds thief stop. If you’re human you won’t be able to breathe. Not exaggeration.

That is why this is my favorite Angelina cover. That deep vibrato just runs down your spine. She has the ability to sing straight to your soul. She makes you feel the story.

When you ask how she can sing so convincingly about adult themes that she hasn’t yet experienced? Just get used to this-she is the best interpreter of lyrics you’ve ever heard. Couple that with her magical voice and the result is the best singer I’ve ever heard. Period.

My theory is that she learned music so early that emotions have sounds for her. At one and a half she was listening to jazz greats as well as modern voices. For her the idea of sadness has a particular resonance/timbre.

You don’t just listen to Angelina, you experience her.

Great reaction. Angelina's magic is her ability to capture the emotion and intent of any song she sings and express that emotion better than most adult artists out there. I believe she is 12 in this one. After a while you will get numb to her age and be able to just enjoy the gorgeous mature sound. She is a true artist that can change her tone and voice to fit the song instead of changing the song to fit her voice.

The only way I can comprehend here ability to understand and present songs is she was born empathic at a level no other I have heard.

The jawdropping moment for me was when I compared it head on to the original. Before that I was so naive to think "yeah, masterful 1:1 copy". But she mactually made Lana sound flat in comparison.

Angelina says that she started singing since she was 1and half she said it was JAZZ that she loved

"Bang bang" and "Summertime" from the Norway got talent show is also a must. Just watching a 7 year do those is breathtaking.. It is like "bang bang" was written to her.

You re rite ..she is a 1000 voice singer...in terms of she can adapt her vocal anyway she want to fit in into her interpretation of the song she sung. Who else can do that at that age ? .

You can really see in this video that she is completely, fully engaged in the story, like she's living it right then. That is, G&T, another of Angelina's masterpiece. Because of the maturity of her voice, its colors and its vibrational frequency. But from where comes her vocal maturity? One answer could be: from her superrich DNA. One can practice for a lifetime and will never get there. Another, multi talented and guided by the best vocal coach in the world, would fall into oblivion right from the start of his or her career. @@KjellAaseth 👍 Not just her grandfather. In Angelina's book, she described her mom, Sara as "a teacher at a Japanese school". So I'm sure her Uncle Michael and her mom, who were born and grew up in Japan and who often speak Japanese to each other, passed on a little of the language to Angelina (and helped greatly with her Japanese songs she sang). 👍

She’s an alien 👽 she is one of those rare talented singers who come along once every hundred or 200 years she may be the best female vocalist on the planet right now, another one I can think of though is Diana Ankudinova Who is an unbelievable contralto. Diana is a different style than Angelina but totally amazing also, In my opinion they are two of the best female singers on the planet.

30 years ago if you asked me, I'd say rappers were not artists. But as I age, I realize rappers are those who with the most intense senses in term of vocals/hearing/emotion. Your expressive emotion is exactly how I felt listening to her singing this song. I cried inside.

I love Lana del Rey. And Adele. And then, Angelina covered them. And you realise that, while Lana and Adele are great artists, they're absolutely amazing songwriters. And that a pre-teen kid completely demolishes the original versions with her covers. I don't bother with the originals anymore, I just listen to Angelina's take on them. Which, by the way, is ONE take in front of a mike set up at home, and not countless perfections in a studio. Really does blow your mind, doesn't it?

On most of Angelina's songs posted on KZread, you can determine her age by looking at the posted date of the video. She was born Jan 10, 2006. Sometimes a performance date is posted in the description. Other times you might have to refer to Rusty Shackleford's chronological listing.

But i think Angelina goes even deeper then Lana,and that did put me off when i first heard this. I love Lanas voice because of how unique,somewhat deep she sounds and her music (Born in New York,and is currently 35 years of age) So many people have to look of disbelief when hearing Angelina sing. I was there myself when i heard her belt like a grown soul sista at 6-7,and she still blows me out the front door. She has made people believing in reincarnation.

I think kids or young people have more emotions than we give them credit for, if they have not had a boyfriend yet they can imagine a family member leaves or a loved pet, however delivering that emotion to us through a song is a whole different thing, that is a talent at any age that is hard to acquire and Angelina has had it from at least the age of 6.
