I love the fact that she wrote the arrangements & has been doing so since she was very young. What an accomplishment with time constraints and singing the part of the song with age appropriate words! Angelina is now 17 years old. she has close to 200 covers and originals, most of which are on KZread, and most of which you can find multiple performances of. Whether she is in a studio or on a stage, 7 or 17 years old, singing with just a guitarist or with an orchestra, there are no bad performances. You mentioned multiple lives - that is what it would take most people to achieve all she has done in just this life (so far).

That was her grandmother they showed standing at the end. Her grandmother made Angelina's dress, and it was by listening to her grandmother's jazz records as a child that she developed the advanced style you will see if you watch her earlier performances.

Alison, you have been introduced to a once-in-a-millennia musical talent whom can sing in any genre. Angelina is a bona fide musical genius and a vocal chameleon. She wrote composed and recorded four songs by the time she was twelve years old. She is the youngest Norwegian citizen to have written a book and have it be published. Angelina was nine years old when she wrote her book, “Between Two Hearts”. Angelina has been creating the arrangements of the covers she sings and her original songs since she was seven years old. Her catalogue of cover and original songs is currently at 180. She is currently seventeen years old. Her birthday is January 10th. She was fourteen years old when she signed with Republic Records in August of 2020. Her paternal grandfather passed away in 2018 and soon after she wrote a song in memory of him. The title of that song is, “Million Miles”. “Million Miles” was her debut single with Republic Records. It was released in November of 2020. On May fifth of this year, Angelina released another song with Republic Records, but this one is from her upcoming debut album, which according to Angelina, is to be released very soon. The title of that recently released song is, “Love Don’t Let Me Go”. Angelina calls her fans angels. There is video of Angelina being interviewed for why she sings barefooted. Angelina tells the story of living in the middle east as a very young child. One day while out walking with her mother when she was six year old she saw a barefoot young girl, about her age, with a scale and whom was weighing people for money. Angelina was curious as to why she she doing that. She approached the little girl and asked her why she was weighing people. The little girl explained why she was weighing people. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to do in her life. The little girl said that she wanted to be a doctor, but being so poor she said that was not likely going to happen. The little girl took a fancy to Angelina’s shoes. Seeing that the little girl had no shoes Angelina took of her shoes, which were a pair of green boots she liked very much, and gave them to the girl. The little her asked Angelina what she wanted to do with her life and Angelina said she wanted to sing for the world. The little girl the told Angelina that she will pray for her dream to come true. It is for that reason why Angelina is lovingly and affectionately called by her fans, “The barefoot Princes”. There is so much more to Angelina Jordan Astar, the outstanding, wonderful human being and other worldly gifted and talented person she is. I highly recommend that the next Angelina video you watch and react to be her six year performance of, “I Who Have Nothing”. It is one of her first studio sessions and it was recorded by her wonderful grandma, Mery Zamani. Grandma Mery was, herself, a child prodigy as a painter and poet. Grandma Mery is Angelina’s muse. Absolutely phenomenal performance from our barefoot Viking, after this performance Angelina received a tribute message from the band Queen congratulating Angelina on a amazing arrangement of their classic song, and the guy’s from Queen gave Angelina the copyright to her arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody,also this performance has around 110 million views on social media platforms, Angelina always the musical prodigy her technical ability has always surpassed her years, she is so special and I’ve been following her progress for 8 years now, in the summer of 2022 I attended Angelina’s live concerts in her home country Norway 🇳🇴she was 16 years old and her stage presence was phenomenal and her live concerts amazing, great reaction thanks 🙏

I have followed Angelina since she won Norway’s Got Talent at 7 years old. You have to watch her “Suspicious Minds” cover, it's amazing! All of her songs are very special bcz she puts her own spin on all of them. She is so addictive to listen to and watch! There is no way to explain how good Angelina is. I’m in my seventies and have followed music all my life. Angelina is the best singer I’ve ever heard. Second place is not close. She covers five or six genres beautifully, usually with her own arrangements as you heard today. Pick anything from age 7 to now at 17. Her next AGT performance was Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road. Welcome to the world of Angelina Jordan ! Angelina is a child, prodigy and a musical genius. She has a strong jazz influenced background and has been singing since the age of one and a half. She did her first recorded studio performance at the age of six with the rendition of "I who have nothing." That was unbelievable ! She won Norway's. Got talent at the age of eight. Just an FYI. You commented on her outfit. She and her grandmother made that outfit from cloth 2:22 they had silkscreened some of her grandmother’s art onto. She’s far more than just a singer. She’s a true artist extraordinaire. She sings like no other, she’s a composer, she paints, she plays multiple instruments, she’s done her own arrangements since she was 8, she speaks 4 or 5 languages, and she’s a seamstress. If you watch her next AGT performance Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, she made that outfit also. AJ is just a remarkable lady all the way around. And as humble as the day is long.

From left to right Her uncle and manager Michael Astar, her little sister Juliette, her mother Sarah Astar and her grandmother Mery Zamani. Notice her little sister crossing her fingers as the performance starts and later her mother wipe tears from her eyes. Also remember she said she had waited 10 years to sing for Simon. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZread. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on KZread went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a KZread video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZread. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On KZread, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. You have just discovered the best story telling, emotion pulling, Artist on the planet today! Nobody else, in my opinion, is on Angelina's level. Ancient Greek Philosopher Plato said that "Music is a moral law. It gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good, just and beautiful, of which it is the invisible, but nevertheless dazzling, passionate, and eternal form". I think Plato must have Forseen the coming of Angelina Jordan when he scribed these beautiful words!. Never in my 56 years on this Earth have i witnessed anything as beautiful as Angelina's Voice! Passion! Humanity, Humility and Pure Love for life and People. When Angelina sings she leaves behind a Warm Feeling of Love that lingers in your heart for a lifetime. Welcome to the barefoot, princess/the girl with 1000 voices. She would absolutely do that to you every time. The members of queen reached out to her after they heard that said, it was the best rendition they’ve ever heard in their life and release the copyrights to her. I’ve been following her for about nine years. English is not her first language, she plays four instruments speaks like four languages is the youngest published author in Norway.
