I am giving you a link where the music is included. I think Angelina was 13 when she sang this. It's original post date was 2019 she was born in 06 so 13 is the age. She was recording an album with the Norwegian national band who specifically requested her for the full album. Before this they had several artists to perform on the album. I know Angelina grew up immersed in her grandma's jazz collection, but what makes her so special is the combination of that immersion, her immense technical tool box, AND her sheer musical genius in interpreting the music she chooses to perform. I've read that most of the performances we all love were almost all done in only one or two takes, often with Angelina following the lyrics on her phone. The level of talent necessary to pull that off is mind boggling.

Ceci, I know you did this months ago but I had to stop by and comment. Her performance was, in a word, spectacular! If they played this on a jazz radio station somewhere in the world the disc jockey's would say this is one of the finest jazz songs they have ever heard sung by an artist. Ever. That's how great this was. Close your eyes and you can't believe it, it's so beautiful. But, open your eyes and watch her recording it, it's even more unbelievable. Of course that was grandma at the end. Where in the world would we be without Billie Holiday and grandma? The gift was there from birth but Billie influenced her tremendously and grandma has guided her throughout her life. We are coming, soon, to the time when everyone in the world will know who Angelina is and we must stay very close to her and always let her know how much we care for her. There will be challenges for her to face especially demands for her to perform all over the world. I believe (and, I hope) that Angelina, her people and Republic Records will do everything thing they can to protect her against overexposuring her and give her time to use her creative skills to make beautiful music with messages of love.

One of Angelina's absolutely beautiful performances she did an audition with this song in Norway Gut Talent at the age of 7 which is more beautiful there she sang this achapela worth seeing this performance super. But if you wanting the best I've heard Angelina even better than any show you've heard her app to date, hear her perform for "AUTUMM LEAVES" (10 years old)

With all the special memories I have from the recordings of Billie H. in the back of my head, knowing about the horrible life she led, Angelina's singing brings me to tears! Queen of melancholy! Can't describe my admiration for her! It's more than that!

She comes out with this unbelievable interpretation and it is just like she is having a little fun or playing hooky from school . Really crazy!

It's funny to see many reactors respond to her little hand wave, even for videos that are often 3-4 years old. I sometimes do it or smile back at her as if she can see me. Hard to resist.

Her phrasing is insane. The feeling of tempo or measures just disappears. It's as if she's "playing" her voice like an instrument. How does a child get the ability to phrase like a 50 year old Ella Fitzgerald? It's mind blowing!

Ceci, The older woman that you see at the end of Angelina’s performance is her grandmother, Mery. Grandma, Mery was also a child prodigy. She is an accomplished and renowned painter and poet. It is Mery that creates the artwork and illustrates the images used in the animations of Angelina’s lyric videos. Mery also produces most of Angelina’s home videos. It was Mery that shot the video of Angelina’s six year old studio performance of, “I Who Have Nothing”. Grandma Mery is instrumental in fostering Angelina’s love of jazz. When you watch Angelina’s home videos all of the paintings you see behind her were painted by grandma, Mery.

She had 11 here! I was totally convinced you would love this one, she is AMAZING!!! I can't wait until you react to "I'll be there" were she sang very sick, but her PASSION is INSANE. She will pull your emotions out! 💕

You never see this passion level in her performances. I suspect this is what she sees in her head when she closes her eyes. Love the excitement exhibited when the sound or phrasing she conceives actual comes out of her mouth.

The first time I watched a video of Angelina, it was this song, but at the age of 7 at NGT. Everything was exceptional in this video. Her appearance first, a lilliputian little witch in a white dress, her hair matted, her pink cheeks and her baby teeth in the process of falling out. Her announce in a calm tone of her choice of song so adult. And then she started to sing. It was mesmerizing to watch her sing with her eyes full of melancholy. So captivating that it took me several seconds to realize that she was singing a cappella. I felt like I was witnessing a rare event. The birth of a star.

CICI, Thanks for doing this performance by Angelina. For that matter thanks for reacting to anything AJ does. The depth at which she sings this is amazing. The subtle holding of notes and dramatic inflections is flat out old school. It makes me think of my dear departed parents and the times that they lived in. My very first time seeing or hearing Angelina was performing this song at seven years old on Norway's got talent. I just happen to run across it looking for another singer. I saw what l thought was a street child in a white dress with wild hair and a tooth missing. When l heard Billie Holiday being channeled by this little angel l was shook to my bones and have been ever since by this child, now a young woman.

I think as you go through her repertoire you'll find each song is the best there's still plenty of jems from Angelina you won't be disappointed, once again great reaction Ceci, 😘💐⚘🌷🌷💐👏👍🤘🇨🇱
