While I love listening to my favorite vocalist in my 79 years on Earth, I also love watching her. Angelina just doesn't sing, she lets the music flow through her. So Angelina just doesn't sing, Angelina IS the song, Angelina IS the music. This cover is Angelina Jordan perfection! Thank you Ceci, you have become one of my favorite vocal coach reactors on KZread. Always look forward to your AJ reactions.

I've never pinned it down to a single note, but yes, there are times when she sings that it really reaches me deeply. I mean, she has an affect on me all through her songs, but there are certain times when it touches so deeply that it brings tears. My 68 year old sister and my 40 year old daughter tell me I do have a problem, because I sit and listen to her singing for the better part of most days. I suppose there could be worse addictions. LOL

@@CECIDOVER as you can tell this is coming a bit late, but you talk about the little things and how they make the difference. When she sings, 'take me by the hand' it is her use of the long E sound as in, ' take me by thee hand' it just sounds so much better than singing "thuh" . It is such a small thing, but sounds so much more musical. Thanks for helping me see the small things and the big difference they made.

Looks like this went from reacton, to complete analysis, to stop the tears. 😭😊

Angelina (just 14 here) is able to cover Adele like nobody else. She can take songs from one of the highest rated singers of the past couple decades, and somehow make improvements to them. She put in so much subtle detail, so much genuine emotion that they become something all her own. Many might think that her most covered artists are Amy or Billie Holiday, but in fact she has cover more Adele than any other artist she covers. I really hope Adele has seen this cover. I know she would be blown away by it.

I know that this was just released a week ago, but we have to look at all the evidence... this is filmed on the same stage as million miles (and also the new live 7thHeaven). It is highly likely that all three of these performance (and hopefully even some others) were all filmed on the same day or maybe across a couple days of studio time. Million Miles was released in November 2020 (before she turned 15 on January 10th 2021), so it stands to reason that she is still 14 in all three of these videos. I do put a little thought into my statements about Angelina because I think having accurate information about her is important :)

There are some reactors that make me crazy with inane stops and comments....and then there is Ceci who shows, teaches and gives us the best of commentary! This is what many of us have looked for in reactions all over this web...so please continue and we will too....

@@johnbattles1002 I guess my thing is all about learning, especially learning how to listen to voice...There are some who are very good, like Wild Music in Australia, that make a first run with no stops, then a second run with commentary. But that is becoming next to impossible these days.

I’ve watched your reactions to Angelina’s songs multiple times, and I enjoy your technical and emotional reactions because it’s obvious you love her singing as much as we do. What I missed today was an overall reaction to the artistry Angelina gives us in this song because it was stopped every few seconds for technical comments. I like your technical analysis, but I’d also like to see your reaction to the song as art-not just technical analysis. I know you’ll watch this song uninterrupted many times after this, as we all have, but we watch to see how people react to Angelina’s ability to move us with emotion and interpretation of lyrics. That wasn’t evident today. Consider watching her songs with only some required breaks the first time, and then going back to a replay to give us your amazing analysis and insight into what Angelina is doing technically. But however you do it, keep reacting to Angelina. I look forward to your new reviews and have watched the older ones many times. It’s like watching Angelina for the first time all over again.

I don't know anything about the technical aspects of the vocals. All I know that she creates emotions like no other singer on the planet.. This is the latest masterpiece from our barefoot angel. No eres la única que se emociona hasta las lágrimas, a veces creo que esta poseída por algunas voces que se fueron hacevmycho porque es imposible que logre hacerlas suyas a pesar de que hablamos de voces de hace 40 o 50 años. Pero esa, es su genialidad y la suerte nuestra de poder conocerlas como su fueran nuevas. Gracias a ti por traernos la parte técnica que muchos desconocemos y que nos hace valorar mucho más lo que ella, entrega en cada canción.

@Phil Grainger Whilst I love Angelina’s vocals & adore her cover of All I Ask, which is far superior to Adele’s in my opinion, I have to disagree with your claim that Angelina’s dynamics & vocal techniques are unrivalled by any other artist. If you haven’t already, check out Russian singer Diana Ankudinova performing Wicked Game, Rechenka Derniere Dance where she shows a unique rich tone from a contralto low register to a high head voice with lots of hybrid yodels, growls, crying, vocal fry, riffs, belting, whispers etc delivered with tremendous emotion & stagecraft!

@@terrycullinane9437 I have seen many of Diana's performances, including wicked game. I agree that it is a beautiful and haunting rendition. I still believe that Angelina's use of these vocal techniques is more agile, organic and natural in their implementation than Diana or any other popular performer today.

Ceci, your analysis really allows me to understand why I feel emotion when listening to Angelina. Today I did the most impulsive thing outside of moving to Mexico from the states after my husband died. I knew no one and spoke very little English. Today I bought a concert ticket to hear Angelina sing in Kurbadhagen on July 10. All I have to do is work to earn money for the trip. But going to Norway will be less expensive in the long run because in 10 years Angelina will be commanding $700 a ticket in Las Vegas and I will need to sell a kidney to afford that! You are the best vocal coach. Keep it coming.
