I've noticed that Angelina stays true to the original more with her Adele covers than almost any other artist. I think that this is testimony to Adele's brilliance in creating emotional songs that Angelina sees that any wholesale changes would only diminish the songs.

Absolutely amazing performance Angelina’s version is my favourite one , she is so special, I’ve been recently attending Angelina’s live concerts in Norway 🇳🇴 her stage presence is phenomenal her vocal performances amazing,and she seems so relaxed to be home in her own country, Norway is absolutely amazing for sightseeing, great reaction thanks 🙏

Angelina's voice here so yummy, so tasteful. She is graceful, elegant and poise. I remember when this video came out, I was so excited that the moment she started singing, my chest filled up with emotions and I teared up because of the sound of her voice have gotten fuller but the angelic sound still remained. Her voice hugs my soul. Great reaction and keep them coming.

Great, thanks! I only clicked on this cause I look to see if there's a reaction to "play pretend" and girl, you satisfied my craving then and all the way through!

She used to change the feel of Adele songs, to a slower more emotional feel. Unreal moving performances. This at what late 14/ early 15? Changed that. The belts, the clarity and speed. She hit the speed bag on that one run and sent everyone reeling and stumbling, not just you. This is when I knew all those tid bits of these strengths, I had heard throughout her years, were just yet another strength she choses not to bring out most of the time. That I wasn't hearing things. That her belts and higher keys, her talents work just as well at any pace, key and technique or mix of them. Vocal masterclass in a more mainstream kind of way this one. This showed a fine tuning of everything, even the stuff she doesn't use all that often. She made an Adele song even more difficult and crushed it easy peasy. Maniac.

I was never really aware of Adele until Angelina did this cover. I had of course heard of her, but never heard her sing that I know of. Adele has a nice voice, but in my opinion, no one sings Adele better than Angelina, not even Adele. This song and "Easy On Me" can pull the tears from my eyes so easily, and with Adele there is nothing. I look forward to more of your reactions to Angelina. She is the reason I subscribed. I only listen to reactions to her songs. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job with them.

There are so many ways to go through her performances. Pick & choose is a great way to go about it :-) I think she is 13 here. Adele is an inspiration of Angelina she said in the Christmas special interview. Adele creates beautiful emotional songs, performs them wonderfully and I love listening to her. When comparing the two, I feel Angelina’s voice has more warmth and depth and I feel her singing more. She has done a bunch of covers of songs of Adele.

Bart, sir, may I correct something here? She was 14 to 15 years old. This is in the "home studio" of Mr. Rob Christie, the director of Republic Record Studios LA. She works with him, he is also her pianist 😄, and she signed the contract when 14. This was after "Million Miles". So please, no offence to your generous help of this charming lady here. None of the current greats had this skill and quality at 15. Not Adele or Aguilera or Dion or even Whitney. There are YT videos of those young stars. It's hard to wrap my mind around the idea that AJ has 12 more years before getting to the age 28 when Whitney recorded I Have Nothing. What will Angelina being doing by then? Probably everything she imagines.

I've been enjoying your reactions quite a lot. If you would like to enjoy them as much as I do, may I recommend you listen through earbuds or quality headphones. When you try it you will understand what you have missed and probably want to listen again to all the performances you have already watched. . I think you will find many Angelina fans who really appreciate Adele writing these songs for Angelina. I've never heard AJ perform anything that I didn't think was better than anyone else's performance of that song. The only time that happens is when Angelina performs it again and exceeds what she did in her previous performance. Soul Session Sundays must have been created to showcase Angelina Jordan. A couple comments: new fans of Angelina often wonder, as you mentioned, what sequence to follow in choosing the next song. The simple answer is that it doesn’t matter. Pick any genre, any age-it just doesn’t matter. Her voice is stronger and even more beautiful now, but her younger performances are some of my favorites because Angelina was easily the best child singer we’ve ever heard. Secondly, Adele is a great songwriter and singer, but her songs are perfect for Angelina. Angelina has an extraordinary ability to express melancholy in her songs, and she simply has more vocals tools than Adele (than anyone, actually), so her Adele covers are stunningly good. Please put on your list Angelina, at 12, in an acoustic setting singing Adele’s “A Million Years Ago”. This song by Adele is very much like her other recent release titled 'Easy On Me'. In both covers, Angelina differentiates herself from Adele with her jazz roots on display whereas, as great as Adele is, being a non-jazz singer there is no way she can match Angelina's emotion laden penetration when singing a heartfelt ballad. Because Angelina is also a natural 'vocal chameleon' she is able to bring the essence of Adele's voice to both songs mentioned, but also adds the 'breathy', 'whisper-like' releases she learned from Billie Holiday. In addition you can hear her 'slurring' words and making erratic mid-sentence 'key' changes that Amy Winehouse was known for. Have never heard another singer do something this intricately complex that sounds like 4 superstars in the songs. Vocal expert analyzer Andreas Grussl has a video that is titled 'Is This Better Than Adele?' In it he uses 'Easy On Me' as the song to match both artists to, section by section. He actually shows why Angelina's presentation is superior to Adele and I was amazed when he reveals how Angelina actually 'out belts' Adele which is no small feat.

The way I see you enjoy Angela sing, like her subtle nyances, I strongly reccomend you watch her sing the song; Stay, which she sings rather spontanous accompanied by the guitarist Ivan Mendes. I am sure you will love it. Thanks for your lovely reactions by the way❤️

Glad you did this one; it was one of four I suggested in a comment to one of your previous AJ reactions. I see you approved of that ridiculously sick descending riff in the second verse (me too!). Of course you can go back to listen a second time haha! I must have done that ten times before proceeding with the rest of the song the first time I heard it. It's just her singing because a lot of singers can control their voices, but they don't have what she has . When they sing it's great and some of their has emotions in them. But she has passion and feeling with every word we feel each song. They really speak to you more and better than the original singer version.

Not only smashed it but she was sitting down, A lot harder to sing properly when sitting. Her cover of Adele's Someone Like You and Easy on Me are just as ridiculously good.

As you will discover, many of the covers she performs often better than the originals. She brings out emotions you will not feel with the originals. You only have about 250 performances to go through. 🌸

Hi! Thank you for another great reaction to Angelina. Before I comment upon the performance, I must ask you a question. :-) Another Reactor who gives her location as the UK speaks with a very similar accent to yours. Her name is Candice Fontaine. Do you know her? Oh! Yes, I do know that the population of the UK is very, very large. 🙂 Angelina has that rare gift of paying homage to the original singer but singing the song with sufficient difference to take ownership of it. There are very few young singers today who are able to do this, especially on every performance. For me, her decision to change the emphasis on the last phrase by lengthening the word "never" was a stroke of genius. As an aside, this morning I went to have my hair cut. There were several customers ahead of me and I had to wait an hour. During the whole of that period there was a large screen on the wall showing music videos of singers. Of the many performing, not one of them were worthy to be described as talented. None of the female performers had the elegance and class of Angelina. I despair!
