Angelina is definitely coming out with a new album. Probably very soon! You said it just right... she's bringing back jazz with a 21st century vibe. I agree that this is her "lane", but she is a multi-lane highway. Her jazzy stuff is gold, but her ballad stuff is gold too. Jazz, Blues, Soul, Pop, Techno.... it doesn't matter... everything she touches is gold.

I loved your reaction! It's exactly how I felt, that and I couldn't wait to play it again, and again, and watch people react to it. When I did I discovered more layers I overlooked, like the clapping, and the message, and all the sweet vocal Angelina stuff. Love it!

very glad to hear that your album is coming out you had mentioned it on the last reaction you did and I told my grandsons about it they had listened to your last one after I told them about it last year.. The reaction as always was great , I've told other reactors that the song was short I look at it as mantra for meditation that I just play over and over..

I'm no expert but this sounds more like an R&B track, but with jazz vocals. I'd love her to do a true jazz song with a full jazz band. Don't know if she has the mind or skill to compose for a jazz band or not. Rearranging a classic song is quite a bit different than composing original music for a ten piece band. Also, she seems to prefer a simple accompaniment that lets us focus on her vocals. I get that, but I prefer more intricate orchestration like that found in prog rock, metal, and classical music. Fans continually say this song cannot be easily classified, which is true. It has an R&B feel, but classic R&B used more instruments and progression. So is it a pop song with jazz vocals? It definitely exhibits pop sensibilities. I love Angelina Jordan as a vocalist, and she seems a great person as well. She could possibly be the next Elvis or MJ, although she (thankfully) lacks the temperament for it. She reminds me more of the lady singer at a jazz club than any sort of self absorbed pop star, that's for sure. Although this song is definitely a step in the right direction, her path remains shrouded in mystery.

I count at least ten different vocal skills or technical abilities in Angelina's rendition that vocal coaches would agree that she executes to perfection. She sounds so mature and she remains, since she was ten, in complete control of her voice. Her puberty nearing its end does not seem to have deepened her voice more than it was already nor to affect her normal vocal range. The lyrics assemble a collection of well-known motivational and inspirational quotes that gives to the song its solid moral ground. I agree with all your comments, Omeezy. Yes, the audio video version is way too short; everybody complains about it. I cannot wait to see the studio version, which will be longer, I hope. All viewers should make sure to subscribe to Omeezy channel. It costs nothing, but it means everything to him,. He is doing a great job at supporting and promoting Angelina's career. I have posted in several different reactors channels and said Angelina is single handedly redefining and bringing jazz back to the masses and making it cool again. She is also introducing it to the younger generation that really hasn’t been introduced to the jazz genre. IMO, Angelina incorporated Jazz, R&B and pop in this new song. Great reaction and very perceptive comments! Indeed, this is jazz for the 2020s. But why so short? I think that old time record scratch at the beginning and end is a hint. On the old 78 RPM records from the jazz age, a little under three minutes was all you could fit. So make it short and sweet, with a lot of hooks, and people will listen to it again and again. That makes the abrupt ending a smart move as well: no problem, just push replay!

This style of jazz is 'old time' and was referred to as 'Swing' back in the day. A version of a similar sounding 'beat' and 'vibe' was presented on BGT - 2018 by Simon Crowel. The vocalist was Aleksander Mileusnic and his song was a personally arranged version of 'Seven Nation Army'. This singer didn't have the abilities of Angelina but he still received a standing ovation from Simon, the other judges, and 'most important' the audience. Tells me that if AJ had sung this there she would have blown the roof off the place.

@@yousurf374 Example, unless you were just being sarcastic, Joss Stone is a white British R&B singer, well known and respected, on the Norah Jones level. You do know who Norah is. Anyway, the examples of these three artists in their own genre were to show success doesn't have to depend on Pop pandering. And quite frankly I'd like to see her lean more heavily towards JAZZ, ( Introduce ,Spring can really hang you up the most) to ears of millineals, this would sound exotic. But first she has to fight, to get their attention. Also l agree that jazz has been limited genre, but the way Angelina presents it, in some ways in increments, where children can digest it. Angelina is also an instructor.

@@yousurf374 My point is the level of sophistication to appreciate jazz, or classical can be applied to a popular culture in doses. An example is the album ( Melting) which ended with ( Song for A).

How is that Jazz Rap, coming along? Seriously toss the "vape in the trash" (you're killing your lungs and vocal chords) Why not match her, verse for verse with some positive feelings rap? Do you have it in you? Is there any rap that doesn't rhyme? We have to keep in mind that she is only 15!
