Simon knows what he is talking about. He has a special feeling and 90% of the time I agree with him. He has a producer mentality and experience. Music is more than just cute girls. He is not criticizing the girls, he is criticizing the song which don't have much nuances where the girls can show their talents.

You are so right.....I know most of the show is staged and scripted and he has to give the impression sometimes like he's running somebody's performance but I've learned he listens with a producers ear and if he can sign on a new act for his company. Watch him when he is really mesmerized by a performance. I noticed that especially when the boys of Collabro were performing and his company signed them on to tour.... He also gives good advice when he feels some performers should perform solo instead of together. He knows music that's for sure... and like I said I believe it's all scripted and each judge plays a role....

Simon has Openly admitted to knowing NOTHING about Country Music and Opera. he judges POP artists.. " open up and have some fun" is NOT great advice for an Operatic Choir. Love Simon, but sometimes even he is a bit Out of his league... MUSIC is more vast than our own comprehension... Even Simon with all of his knowledge , has only seen the tip of the ice berg of Music.

Such humility and warmth gives me all the feels.

The world needs people like Simon, he is only trying to help them grow and become better. People that boo him or yell out at him while he gives advice are just ignorant.

David is right they are just the perfect act to show to the royal family. You just can’t fail if you present them, such a lovely and talented girls singing opera. They have a beautiful story and their teacher couldn’t be more proud. I saw great acts but I felt like “is this really something you want to present to the Queen?, Somehow I can see the Queen enjoying this act and feeling more dignified than watching some pop rock singer, pole dancer or a man that performs some crazy act with dangerous weapons. My opinion.

Yes I have daughters and sons, (as far as the young ladie's attire, I think it's beautiful. It's the sound that unfolds in this presentation that really "Gets" me. the harmony and sensation in the vocals of their music. Astounding! I LOVE IT!!!

MOST BEAUTIFUL & FANTASTIC. I HOPE THEY REMAIN SINGING TOGETHER AND MAKE SOME GREAT ALBUMS. I JUST LOVE ANGELICUS.

This is just amazing! So beautiful so incredibly clear. You gave me a rain of chills NONSTOP this is how deep all this sound goes into my heart clears the mind and my body resonates with all of this. I actually thought everyone in Wales can sing. I was raised listening to the Welsh men's choirs. They are great!

It was okay when she was the lead singer, but when the choir was altogether her operatic voice stuck out and didn't blend.

I think that Simon got it wrong. Beethoven said that "to make a mistake is inconsequential, but to do it without passion is inexcusable." Music is supposed to be enjoyed, and they were clearly into the music and having a wonderful time singing it. They were passionate about it. And yes, it was better than Nessun Dorma (which was incredible!). Their harmonies were wonderful.

Only problem here is that many, many of the performers who audition for this show are passionate about what they do; they just don't all do it well. I don't think we should give this choir an easy pass only because they are "school girls" passionate about their music. I believe Simon respected them by holding them to a higher standard, the same standard to which he holds other choirs who audition.

Simon was right this wasn't as good as the first audition song, He knows what he is talking about I hate that people boo him. I agree more movement on stage would be good, but they are a angelic choir so they kinda don't need to move around to much. I love this choir though they sound really amazing.

So beautiful voices it is true that a real opera singer works all their lives to stop this vibrato...(even la callas had this problem late in her life..)... and have it as even as possible...but this doesn’t mean that they will not make it...all they need is a singing practices..and it isn’t harsh to say this ..their performance is beautiful ...

If this had been a male choir, the other panel members would very likely have agreed with Simon. But as it was a "school girl" choir (and really, they are not a "school girl choir" per se; I believe they were hand picked from a larger choir. They just happen to be of school girl age ), they weren't held to the same standards as other choirs. Thank you, Simon, for not patronizing them. Given the opportunity to hear and receive the truth, they now have the opportunity fulfill their potential.

I agree. While it is wonderful for solo singing, in an ensemble, you must blend and that's impossible with vibratos pulsing through the sound. It's a control thing and it can be learned, they are young, they have time and room to mature. For their time together, they are promising.

I wanted to say exactly this. She should've packed away the opera-voice and gone standard church choir-voice like the rest of them.

Not a good choice of songs at all because these angels of God can do so much more if given the chance. The song must stir the inside of those watching and this isn't the greatest choice. I love the attitude, class, and the way they dress and act but most of all, the talent of these beautiful girls. I wrote this before Simon gave his speech but for once I totally agree with him. I love this group so much.

You just don't get it or I did a poor job explaining. I never said it wasn't beautiful or great and I like it also, but to go further into the competition you needed to have picked another one. See americans are for the most part, illiterate of real art and good music or movies or good books and so on. Something from Les Misserable would have been much better so the audience could relate to it after knowing what it sounds like to begin with. I wanted this beautiful group to win and when I saw the song they were to sing, I said..."Well, they won't go any further than this." Anyhow we both agree the song was a good one but just NOT the right one is my thought. All the best to you.

I'm a bit late but I heard that the girls didn't have a say in their song:( BGT's fixed. won't be watching it anymore!!!

Why oh Why did they decide to exclude the lead singer from the beginning auditions. If they continue to push the choir image. They will not make it to the finals. I feel sorry for that lead singer being pulled down. I hope she continues on her own.

Harold Clendenen she's very talented in opera but her voice did not blend and was quite distracting. I would have excluded her entirely and just done a different song than n'esse un dorma.
