Is Tonya Harding’s ex out of jail yet? I have a proposition for him.
I would never wish injury on someone, nor voice a desire for their injury to be prolonged. But man... I would feel deeply embarrassed to my very foundation to be this unreliable at my job, and for that ineptitude to be on full display to the general public - to millions of people - day in and day out. I honestly don't know how this guy doesn't resign out of a legitimate crisis of conscience.

Lol it's the "human element"
How more years of this clown do we have to endure?
It’s crazy that the umpire union is the thing keeping him in the league meanwhile he is the lead reason fans wanting robot umpires.
with the extra rules, add one that will examine obvious blown calls by umpires. if an umpire is making bad calls, have him lose a day of pay. if the bad calls continue, have a mechanism for retraining or termination.
Thank goodness the union protects him
How can this go on seriously??? Poor performance like this would result in termination most places?
THE AZZ end OF A GOAT is back!!!!!😤
that's why Tanaka went back to Japan. one of the best post season pitchers ever in MLB
Fire 🔥 this guy 😅😅😅😅
The funniest thing is when he sued, the government literally said it wasn’t discrimination, you’re just bad at your job.
He missed the call because his angle was bad, he wasn't set when the tag was applied, and SS had him blocked out from seeing the tag. We get a great view with the replay. Ideally, he would be on the other side of the bag with the play coming at him, so that he can position himself between the fielder's inside hip (the hip closest to the base) and the runner, where the tag is most likely to be applied. That gives the best view of the play. From experience I can tell you that calling that play from deep B isn't always easy. I can't help you with understanding his abhorrent strike zone, though. That just blows my mind.
@seankiesling2054
9 ай бұрын
Well him being in the wrong or terrible position to make a call goes right back to why hes such a terrible ump, right? A good ump, who cares, would have been in the right position to have the best view...but not him...he wasn't..and if hes too slow getting there that means hes no longer fit for his job...your lowkey defense of blowing that call actually only strengthen his case for being terrible
@XXelpollodiabloXX
9 ай бұрын
@@seankiesling2054 It's not a terrible position. It's the correct mechanic for deep B. The way the throw came in and cause SS to move out that far, then turn to make the tag is what did it here. Usually even on a high throw the tag comes down, not with a spinning swipe where the umpire's view is completely obscured. You can't call a guy out if you don't see a tag, and you can't see a tag if a player blocks your view. My point is that it wasn't a bad call under the circumstances; it was the best he could do with the information he had. This is why replay is a thing, so they can fix something like this. Meanwhile, go read up on 4-person umpire mechanics and you'll understand what I'm talking about here.
Good gawd he gives no fooks
Time for computers to call everything
That someone could be so ridiculed and derided and still show up for work is just beyond comprehension. This gives some good insight into the personalities of the people Americans have to deal with now
i could make a better call than the last one
The curse of affirmative action
I'm convinced they keep him around for the attention.
This is the same umpire who once tossed A FAN from the game for heckling him on how bad he was. A fan! A customer....how league allowed that is mind boggling
Toughest Poll in MLB History. Who is more unpopular: a) Kennesaw Mountain Landis b) Pete Rose c) current MLB commissioner d) Angel Hernandez
MLB likes him there, people are talking about the games.
Darn, I thought he retired.
As long as my eyes were on this play, regardless of where I was on the field, I call this out, even if I'm not 100% certain.
Get that dude outta there!
I was at this game and seeing this call as a nats fan really sucked, everyone got excited and the. After the replay he was clearly out.
Anyone notice there are no videos showing Angel Hernandez making good calls?
He broke his back carrying the umpires with all these blown calls for the lowlight reels
Not many things wrong with the MLB except Angel Hernandez!
He so bets on the games
Why won't someone do something about getting him out of baseball. It has nothing to do with race people. He has a career of bad calls in every game.
He got his back blown out...

Fire this incompetent, the evidence is abundant of his absolute failure as a professional

MLB the show should add Angel to the game 😂😂😂
Dude is still banned from calling playoff games. That is why he TRIED to sue MLB. Still unavailable for ANY playoff games.
I want to know what he’s got hanging over the head of the MLB. There’s no way this man keeps his job any other way.
Let’s all celebrate his retirement.
Maybe a wide slide or throw
It might lead to a year long suspension but man I would love to see some players just knock him out on bad calls. It won't happen in the world of professional sports tho.
Best way to counter him: BOTH teams never swing a bat and throw no strikes. Protest by both teams refusing to play with him on the crew. They can't forfeit both teams at once. It is in the rulebook. If enough teams refuse to play for him, he makes MLB look very bad, and he will be at a desk.

He is part of the reason the growth of the game is stagnant
It's crazy how bad he messes up calls. He literally has a 50/50 chance of getting it right and he ALWAYS gets it wrong.
I think they're scared to fire him because that would make it look like many of his calls were bad. Wait, we already know that they are. So what's the problem?
The calls he misses aren’t even close which leads me to believe he’s just intentionally doing it because he knows he won’t be fired
The only thing worse than his judgment is his conscience. How and why is he still employed.
Reloj marca rápido las horas pa que hernandez se una a Joe West...
I hate to defend him because he has been bad in the past but that stolen base was a tough call to make from where he was standing. I could see how he missed that one. Umpiring is one of the hardest most thankless job out there. Eric Sim a d his buddies did a video trying to call balls and strikes and the best one of them was only 86% accurate. Even Trevor Baurer had to admit Angel may not be as bad as he thinks. Compared to a lot of other umpires, he is.
The fact that there are so many videos of his bad calls says it all. He is an embarrassment and needs to be fired. End of story. Why is he still there?
He’s making the unbuilt look bad. They gotta do something
Its called a payoff. Its the only explanation that fits. He's been bought.
It’s a little convenient to say, look at that slow mo… That’s not how it is in real life. I’m not saying Angel doesn’t deserve a little bit of grinding… But it would be easy to miss that tag.
Man should be banned from officiating ever again. Dude doesn’t even deserve to be an ump at a little league game
Dude's literally the reason I can't actually watch baseball, just Jomboy's news
He claimed MLB was racist against him, when it’s Angel himself who discriminated against others!
Two words: Tim Donaghy
He definitely never got eye surgery while he was out.
Seems like he made all those calls.
Best part is that Angel Hernandez is clearly a white guy who is descendant of Spaniards but sued the league for “racism” 🤣🤣

minor leagues already testing robo umps and it's going well
How does a rift that is that horrible stay in as a referee? I mean, does the league not see that he sucks? Why didn't they just fire him? What the heck is the deal there? Why is it all these bad referees that have a history and unknown for making bad calls and influencing the game on their bad calls. Able to keep a job if I sucked at my job. I would be fired but then again. I was in the military so if I sucked at my job people died.
He moved so he was screened from seeing the glove at the time the tag was made, so In his reality, it never happened.
Angel is straight up terrible. Wow. Most umpires are really solid on safe/out calls. And you rarely see an ump miss one of those as badly as that first base and second base call. Awful stuff. Lots of umps seem bad at ball-strike calls.
That was bullsh*t call Willy Adames got him out on that play
Was it his eyeballs that were injured? If so I think he needs them checked again
I think he called the Astros vs Yankees this past weekend...very very terrible calls.
I love Angel Hernandez
