Taylor Guitars has a long history of being committed to building environmentally friendly guitars. The company's latest efforts in using sustainably harvested woods involves its Urban Woods Initiative, which sources woods from trees that grow near its headquarters in Southern California. In this first of two parts, Peghead Nation co-founder Teja Gerken interviews Taylor's Andy Powers about the process.

Absolutely nothing but respect for Andy. He seems like the perfect CEO for a guitar company. He's got enthusiasm like Paul Reed Smith but none of the cheesy in your face salesman. Very inspiring individual
I love the direction Taylor is going which I guess is in some part due to Andy and his innovations.
Interesting, doing the same thing that Seagull has been doing for many years, they source/use a lot of local woods like cherry and maple in their guitars.

Andy Powers is great. Teja, you drove me crazy will all your yeas, yep, etc. Every few seconds you are interjecting a needless word or two. So irritating. I had to stop half way through. I couldn't listen to you any more.
