Used to think that arched lower back was a bad idea but since Andy Bolton does it I'll give it a try...

if you look in the video though, his lower back isn't arched. its more his mid and upper back, which is commonly seen..

Andy never talks about his hip-thursting but he always does it.. he should break down the mechanics of it like mahdi from sl 5x5 did because most people dont notice it.

I'm stuck at around 315 right now. I did 340 for 1 rep but couldn't repeat my last time doing deadlifts. The first few inches is my sticking point. Tips?

Load 65% of your 1rm, go to 10-15 reps. Increase by 2.5kg each week. Also be aware of your technique

@nyso85 Just do more speed work, dont go near you max for a while go to 50%-60% tops and rep it as fast as you can set of 5 reps, you will become explosive over time to the point where you old max will fly up.

felix bruno Looks straight to me; definitely not arched. Hold the edge of a piece of paper up to the screen on the side view if that helps you.

felix bruno Just as I suspected: You're so blinded by the "advanced lifting technique" and the "shit ton of weight" that you believe whatever he says and don't realize that I'm not arguing either of those things------All I'm pointing out is the simple obvious fact that his lower back is clearly not arched.
