I just want them to FINALLY give an option to set custom ttf fonts and to make every app developer be forced to make their apps edge-to-edge so that there's no more black/white areas behind the navbar and the status bar.

To the screen flickering, I think they meant the fingerprint unlock. When you tap really fast over the sensor, the screen can stay in the "scanning" and completely ignore any other user input. Either a restart or tapping over the sensor area will fix it.

Y'all don't upgrade, I upgraded the new update in my pixel 7 pro and the system UI was crashing every single second. I tried almost every solution online then I had to factory reset to solve the problem.

Im having it on my pixel 7 pro too and all works smooth. Thats weird. But i just did on a test device to be save, wouldnt do on my main pixel 8 pro

@01:15 It would still be nice to have an app icon next to the header as a visual indication since the app icon is easier for the brain to decode that text.

I know these videos are quick out the door but you've got some crazy reverb going on. Feels like ringing in my ears. But still thank you for all the hard work you put into these update videos!

The change in Google settings also appears in Android 14 here. So it's not related to the beta updates.

Even my pixel 6a score more than that in geekbench 6 with single core score of 1468 ... And multi core score of 3613

I think it's high time android added a verification before any app installation. Gave my phone to someone and they quickly shared an apk file to my phone amd installed it without my knowledge. I believe every app installation should be put behind biometrics lock for security reasons.

there is an issue i find in Google pixel 8 pro, When i download mp3 ringtone and save in file manager to use custom ringtone. after few day file manager auto delete that custom ringtone mp3 file.

A14 has already been super boring and android 15 is shaping up to be even worse. I get it that they found their thing and stick to it, but there are so many things they could add to make the pixel even smarter. Like widgets on the lock screen, advanced automation features, multitask features. All in all this feels just like a pixel feature drop

I wish they would give the ability to lock the brightness setting. My 4 year old god daughter puts it at 100℅ killing the battery faster. I would love to lock it at 50%
