He's very hit and miss with it, mostly depending upon the intellect of his opponents but I guess that is the game. Sometimes he reminds me of Columbo (you may not be old enough to remember that series and you should watch it if you haven't already). At other times Andrew seems to either deliberately give the guest an easy time or he misses some key issues which would pin the politician to the wall. Sometimes I think he goes easy because he knows politicians will avoid his interviews if he doesn't, and that is a sad indictment of modern journalism.

We have always had a deficit, even when I was in the Burgh Chamberlain's office. The reason is population. We are so much better under the umbrella of the Westminster government. We couldn't afford to drill for oil. It was the oil companies who footed the bill. I worked for Anchor Drilling when we were drilling wells. Scotland could not afford it. Now we are paying huge salaries and expenses for a bunch of numpties in Edinburgh. We cannot sustain this expenditure.

Nicola seems to forget that if Scotland leaves the UK they will get a portion of the assets but also an equal portion of the debt. So an independent Scotland would have a big debt burden and a huge deficit. I cant see EU welcoming them on that basis even if we ignore the likely veto from a few members. Most people are happy just having children as a legacy.

Neil shows WHY being in the "union" is not in Scotland's interests?! Why are Scots due a share of London's debt on its massive infrastructure projects? Those fake GERs figures are totally made up to suit the Tories, and manipulate Scottish exports. Scotland has far more resources than most small Indy nations, so the question is, why are only Scots unable to manage their own affairs? We must have our own Scots pound right away and a Scots central bank and return to being a trading partner (rather than a controlled region) in the EU also.

"The Scottish economy is in a desperate state. It has long been lagging behind the UK economy but now the prognosis must be considered as dire. In 2019 Scotland’s GDP was 8 per cent lower that of the UK as a whole. While GDP in the UK grew at a rate of 1.7 per cent between 2000 and 2019, in Scotland it grew at a much smaller 1.3 per cent. Employment from 2000 to 2019 grew at 0.9 per cent in the UK as a whole, but only at 0.6 per cent in Scotland.", Brian Monteith, ThinkScotland, April 2021.

Their hate blinds them to the bigger picture. They are anti English and it's tolerated. They are the most hypocritical people in politics What stands out most for me out of all the snake national party's subjects is health. Particularly mental health. Personal experience and those known to me personally shows me the state of the national health under her watch. Also the well documented devastating horror stories from her super duper hospital & the failings and scandals of Scotland's entire health service. 31 month waiting lists to see mental health professionals? Biggest suicide rate per population in Europe and highest drug&alcohol deaths in Europe, infact addiction deaths have gotten significantly worse under their reign. This is obviously due to a number of factors, but the hypocrisy of the party in health, well-being and social care is laughable when you read their manifestos and listen to their patter. The amount of elderly folks she sent home from the hospital to die: quickly forgotten about 😒 They are for the Scottish people; the underdogs; the small voices; the poor the elderly and the vulnerable? It's exactly these types of persons that they continue to sacrifice - whilst lining their own pockets and blaming Westminster. Scandal after Scandal and there is no shame. I can't even comment on justice and victims of crime, I'd be here until the end of never. They are a poisonous lot who play on the fact that there still is a sectarian divide in parts of the west of Scotland: lowering the voting age and visiting mostly RC schools in attempts to influence children and their parents. I have twin nieces who attended an RC school in Glasgow. That party makes my blood boil with the sheer hypocrisy. Scotland needs freedom - aye freedom from the SNP 🤞 her subjects start to see the facade

Brilliant. Somebody should take her up on her "projections for GDP improvement in the next five years"! Saying that in 2016 and adding five years makes it 2021. How did she do??

Never heard such blether! How does she honestly think Scotland would survive without the UK.Just look at the roads in Dumfries and Galloway! and along side Loch Ness.I very much doubt Scotland,as much as I love it,is able to generate its own economy and a strong enough one to support the needs of everyone.

The emotional argument in favour of Scottish independence is very strong. A proud nation etc etc. The economic argument is virtually non existent. So be a proud, independent nation by all means. But when it comes to benefits like tuition fees and prescription charges....forget it. Whatever untruths the SNP tell you.
