I watched this film and fell in love with it immediately. Each time I watched it, I further understood the significance of youth, love, and friendship. Fast forward and in college I took a class, "Film as Literature". Of course, the international film we watched in the class was Cinema Paradiso. I knew I was in trouble as I did not want to be witnessed crying in class, so I sat in the back but felt confident that in a classroom setting I would be shielded from the emotions of the film. Wrong. The sad part is that everyone in class simply went about their business immediately after the film as if the film had not changed them forever, somehow... I learned again, that some people just miss the significance that life offers...

Oh...it occurs the same to me. I cry every time I watch this film. If I had been in a situation like yours, I would have really felt the same. Good things in life (like this film) are not for everyone. I felt blessed with your comment.

Im shocked cause ive been in the same situation. I was watching it with my classmates and when it finished i was crying (the film truly changed my life) but one of my classmates said "lets get out and stop watching this crap" it felt so disrespectful

My life story was a exact mirror of the little boy. I was just like the little boy and when I saw the film ,I wept uncontrollably. I have a copy of the film 🎥 and each time I watch it, it's like the first time I saw it. I have never been the same after having seen this film.

Essa música me transporta a 30 anos atrás quando fui ao cinema pela primeira vez com minha namorada aqui em Salvador. Ela morava no centro Rua da mouraria Edf. Cidade de cachoeira. No cinema só ouvir a musica pois meus olhos estavam nela o tempo todo, e entre beijos e carícias se misturavam com a ternura desta música. Toda vez que a ouço eu penso nela e naquele momento muito especial.

Me apaixonei pelo personagem TOTÓ desde menino. Esta musica que atinge o recôndito da alma é transcendental. Nos leva a desligar deste mundo e alçar um plano superior. Bravo, bravo. Parabéns ITATIA, ninguem a supera nas artes. Na ITALIA , estão os maiores artistas nunca serão superados. Este filme, que me emociona todas as vezes que o vejo. Me apaixonei pelo personagem TOTÓ desde menino. Esta musica que atinge o recôndito da alma é transcendental. Nos leva a desligar deste mundo e alçar um plano superior. Andréa Bocelli, só a sua presença nos fascina. Cantando ele é um refrigério para nossa alma. Obrigada, por proporcionar estes momentos que deveriam ser eternos.

How can his music convey such emotion. This beautiful film made so much more because of the score. The ending with the kisses has me in tears every time. Ennio the genius.

I am not an opera fan, but this man has made me think twice about it.I wasnt aware that this piece of music had lyrics.I fell in love with the film and the score the first time I heard it.Now after hearing this man sing, I love it more.Que viva la music!
