    I love Gennady as much as the next guy but Ward is too much of a step up. He will dismantle him.. The GGG team know this so it won't happen until THEY want it too. He needs to at least beat Cotto and have a few fights at super middle weight before he has a chance.

    Tom Evans I completely get your point, but thing is, boxing him is not as easy as it seems, because most people we see fight golovkin can outbox him, but as soon as they get hit they become afraid to constantly throw their jab out there, so while ward is a better boxer, I think he would lose. Also, it should be a 50/50 fight, ward is well known among boxing fans but to casuals he is a nobody because he never fights.

    MrOutPerform Ward has a very, very good chin and I would say he's the 3rd best defensive boxer out there behind Rigondeaux and Floyd.. He's bigger and better then the cans Gennady has fought so far.

    Holy shit. Gennady Golovkin is 345 and 5 amateur record with 35 wins and 32 kos, also debuted in 2006. Ward is 115 and 5 amateur with 29 wins and 15 kos and debut in at 2004. That is a big difference, I feel GGG is secretly accustomed to all fighting styles and will shock ward when they fight in the future. or if they fight.

    SuperGeronimo999 Why is it so hard for u guys to understand what golovkins management team actually said? it only takes logic to see that they never meant they would fight anyone at that weight; they said they would fight anyone that makes financial sense from 154-168 and Ward is not one of them. Boxing is as much a business as anything else and if u can't sell u are going to have a hard time calling the shots; as we have seen gg has offered ward a catchweight fight and no word from him. In fact, ward dick riders are already complaining about that as well LOL

    +PowerUpBoxing Golovkin and Kovalev and Beterbiev would beat Ward at ANY weight he specified. They would beat Hopkins, Mayweather, Ward, and anyone else at any weight except superweight. Tyson Fury would beat Kovalev if Kovalev had go up to 250 lbs. to face him. However , a 200 lb. catchweight battle of the Fury vs. Kovalev would be interesting if they could pull that off. In that case I think Kovalev could take it. Kovalev might be aggressive enough and probably fast enough to solve Fury at 200 lbs. but how's he going to hit him with the height difference? Klitschko vs. Kovalev at 200 lbs. would be the same weird situation, with Klitschko noticeably quicker at the lower weight, but not as strong, retaining his height advantage. Kovalev at 200 lbs. would still be fast and aggressive but not as flexible and strong as he usually is, and he'd have the height disadvantage to Klitschko. interesting nonetheless to see how it would all pan out.

    What a leech lol. When GGG is on the show, he does a few segments of G or not a G, gets interviewed about his favorite punch, and fantasy match ups between some of the biggest names in boxing. When Ward shows up, it's ALL about GGG (which he lied multiple times throughout and still didn't even say yes or no to the question, "Do you want to face GGG.") It shows you how Ward is just riding off of GGG's name to stay relevant, and how little people actually care about him as a boxer. Sad.

    Marty Mar Theres a difference between saying you're "ready" and "available" and wanting the fight. Don't call me an idiot. This dude Ward goes on for 5 minutes on some stupid tangent to a yes or no question, "are you willing to fight GGG." It's not a hard question, and he's never said yes or no in any interview he's ever been asked that question. He wants GGG to chase him, not the other way around. He just said, "I'm waiting for GGG to come after me, I'm ready," even though he won't make any concessions on the weight to make the fight happen. The reason the fight hasn't happened yet is because of Ward, and Ward solely.

    Dude something about ward bugs me. I hate to root against my own but i hope ggg knocks his ass into next months. Problem is hes trying to fight a fighter that can compete at 154 when hes beat 175 champion dawson. But wants no part of Kovalev or stevenson or even a rematch with dawson at 175 for a come up fight. Hes a coward thats been fightinf absolute bums. And didnt look good at all against rodriguez. And to think bika beat up on his ass and triple g wint give him hell u done lost ur mind. I just think he will be at a size advantage and with their skill at that level it means alot. The guy should be fighting at light heavy calling out proven champions like Kovalev and stevenson. Or like i said a rematch with dawson or a come up fight against pascal or gonzales that fought the other weekend. not trying to call out 160lbers. Move up and fight some opponents stronger like floyd. I dont like floyd but hes fought killers that were bigger then him everytime he moved up. Totally Dominated a division 147 when in all reality hes a 140lber. Not to mention was the lineal 154lb champion also. Til ward moves up and fights somebody i wont give him no damn credit for beating froch, which taylor gave froch the business till the end. green, abraham, kessler. Them guys are good fighters but they aint elite.

    Christian Thomas What? Your sentences are hard to understand. I think I understood what you were trying to say. But Ward probably walks around at about 190-195. So all he has to do is cut less weight and he'll have the option of gaining a little extra muscle. And be less drawn out the day before the fight. Either way what you said for Ward also applies to GGG. What I said obviously also applies.

    They are already 1 weight division apart. Plus, GGG is a small middle-weight who would find it easier making light-middle than super-middle, and Ward a big super-middle who would find it easier to make light-heavy than middle-weight. To me it would be unfair, whatever catch-weight they held it at.

  • @pdubhnic
    @pdubhnic9 жыл бұрын

    I could see a rivalry developing in a year from now when Andre gets his household name up because it's obvious to me Triple G wants a big pay day. Only problem is, in order to create enough interest for a mega PPV fight which I think could materialize, both fighters have to continue to win in exciting fashion, and one of them is going to have to play the villain. At the end of the day this is entertainment and some controversy always generates human interests. IMO boxing needs this. unfortunately I don't know whats in the fighters heart of hearts. Wether Ward is willing to go down to 164 and Meet Golovkin or wether he's eyeing to try and seize the lightweight division. Golovkin has already made it known that he wants Canelo or Cotto but he stumps when Ward is brought up. I don't think out of fear but I think down the road he could see this as a huge pay out so why eat the meal while it's still cooking? Ward vs Kovalev would be great as well as I know Kovalev will not shy away. I could see Kovalev playing the dangerous Russian Villain and Ward playing the Great American Hero since you know the US and Russia are at political disputes. Only problem with that is it would almost eliminate a date with GGG since I don't think Gennady would go up to light heavy weight anytime soon if he's not one by now.
