I think that's fair to say at this point in his career. but, I strongly believe where you are in your career arc and situationally - team / culture wise -at that point in time when you are made a one makes a great difference. it is very possible that he could have indeed been a dominant number one if say, he was drafted to an organization like Golden State instead of Minnesota.

I liked Wiggins coming into the nba. I thought him with bron would’ve been great for his career but they traded him for love. I knew the t’wolves wouldn’t showcase wiggins true potential(even though he averaged 20ppg during his stay in Minnesota). Warriors gave Wiggins the life he needed and he showed up and showed out. Got a ring too

Andrew Wiggins isn’t a 1, with the Warriors he was made into a role player with the pressure put on Steph, Klay & Dray to get the job done which made his life easier

Fast forward to this last month: Wiggins has been MIA too long-can we stop pretending this hasn't had a devastating affect on our Defense? Also, he hasn't made any statement letting the fans & team know he is anxious to get back. Hard to act like this is no big deal.

I think yall should look at the stats more before you come put saying stuff like this. Luka shot 50% on wiggins so he didnt lock up at all. Luka shot poorly against others which is strange cause wiggins was their best defender. Luka averaged 32 9 and 5 amd just because his primary defender was wiggins and luka shot 42% overall doesnt mean wiggins locked him up. But i am used to media being so short in their brain that they just generalize stuff like this.

Yeaa but they lost the series 4-1 , if you watched it you could tell how tired Luka was after just one game with wiggs on him and it proved to tire him out more down the stretch so that means Wiggins did his job correctly

You can find matchup stats of how Luka did vs each of Warriors defenders in that series on the NBA site. He was more effective vs Wiggins than the other defenders in total. That's my point.
