Thanks for watching everyone. If you'd like to buy one of these for yourself, there's a link in the video description to the Amazon listing :)

When I went to the link to purchase Amazon both UK and US says they are out of stock and backordered don't know if or when they will be getting them back in. I hate that when that happens. You see creators preview an item and you like and want to get. Then the vendor has no stock and it's on backorder. I am looking for one for my electronics repair/ restoration and just starting out on KZread. I do computers, radios (amateur and broadcast) both tube and transistor. I also do phone and tablets. I need to find a microscope but don't have a large budget right now. Any suggestions?

@@AngiHarrover I agree that's annoying when that happens:( it may be that the particular amazon warehouse closest to you doesn't have any in stock as it shows in stock for me, so that's very strange 🤔 there are other sellers on amazon selling the same product but I'd say go for ebay and search for "andonstar ad407" and you should be able to pick one up for the same price :)

For what it's worth, I also own this microscope and have been using it for about 6 months. I love it! It records nice crisp video and is a big help for me. Only downside is the lack of space underneath the scope to work, but that can be rectified by getting creative with the mount.

It wasn’t long after getting one of these that I undid all the screws and mounted everything back to front. Then using some old desktop and laptop hard drives as a sort of dry stone wall I now have an extra 3 or so inches of space. Made a world of difference on its useability.

Thank you for the initial review. I would like to hear your detailed thoughts comparing this to your Stereo Amscope in real time re-work electronics work. neck strain and ease of use? What do you think about turning the base to the rear with a 5lb weight to give you more room and flat base? I think there are two camera mount rings (high and low), with high allowing for wider field of view within the focus range.

I use a digital camcorder with remote which is mounted on a moving arm secured to my bench which outputs to my 40 inch hdmi TV screen. I can achieve unbelievable zoom results making small component work a breeze. I bought the camcorder on eBay as a faulty item for £29.99 and repaired it, the tripod I bought new for £39.99 and the 40 inch TV I already owned. just something useful for those on a tight budget 👍

wrt the small slidy work surface, I have a similar cheaper type of microscope and I took the vertical pillar off and attached it to a piece of plywood approx 12" square. makes it less slidy and allows you to work on larger boards without it tilting.

My review on this would be about the same. For long while I tested boards after built prior to components put on, some the pads traces and such can be very small.and fine this would of easily helped us as for some reason the company used basic analog scope with no camera nothing , would.of loved taking a picture and sending to engineers to ask some the questions instead of waiting for them to come oner from another part of the city hours later

There are similar digital microscopes for a lot less money but they do not have an HDMI port. Even Andonstar has cheaper models that offer the same but without an HDMI port. In my opinion there are other options worth considering for a digital microscopes in the price range of the model that you have presented. I think that if you are going to do product reviews either do product comparisons or at least recommned that people do their own searching and comparisons of what is out there. I would recommend Banggood as a place to compare stuff like this. I would hesitate to give this particluar Andostar model the thumbs up unless you have looked at other brands and offerings in digitial microscopes. The concern is that sometimes we all buy implusively and then find out there was a better option for our needs, often for less money. If HDMI is a must then compare with the other HDMI digial microscopes before choosing a solution. I think its best to have a little disclaimer regardles of what product you review, that is if you are going to keep doing them.

Nice review. These Microscopes have come anlong way recently was looking at them back in 2017 and didn't go for one. I purchased and AmScope 400 (Basic model that I still use today). Biggest Issue was the display lag and again if you are used to optical microscope you will find this hard going. But!... if you only every buy this from the get go you will never know how good a "propper" Stereo microscope is.
