The deal with using the xtractor is: - You don't want the wrap to get ripped. - Moving wrapped bales increases the risk of ripping the wrap. The recommended method for making wrapped bales is to make the grass bales in the field and collect them, obviously using the scoop method is fine as they're not wrapped at this point. You then move the bales to where you want to store them, and wrap them there - either with the single wrapper or an xtractor. Then you leave them alone while they brew. You need to check them regularly to ensure the wrapping is still intact - no evil critters (birds/rodents) have torn their way in. If you absolutely must wrap on the field, then a compromise deal is to use the bale collection trailer with the grab (rather than scoop) to lessen the risk of tearing. Also don't use spikes on wrapped bales, use bale grabs on your front loader/etc. Obviously once they're cooked and you want to use them, then you actually want to remove the wrapping and using spikes and scoops is not such an issue.

The reason you would compress the bale and pack chaff down is to get all the air out because the fermentation process is anaerobic, which means without air, or more specifically without oxygen.

On the Anderson promo-vid for the biobaler - it looked like they're using the "bale-bumper" to mow down the wood growth, and have the biobaler running directly behind it, rather than in an offset position. Seems to me there might be a benefit to using the biobaler over the poplar forage header, they both have similar operating widths - but the biobaler can be used to complete the entire job, forager needs a trailer to be emptied frequently. Once the biobaler is done, you can use the bale collection wagons (I assume) to pick them up. Still poplar woodchipping does not appear to be very profitable, though the poplars will regrow, so there's no additional expense to plant once it's done - also not sure of comparative growth cycles to other crops.

yes, the collection wagons do pick up the bales - the Poplars do take 3 days to grow vs 36 hours, so they are slower. But its nice that they don't have to be replanted.

I'm in New England. There are farms near me that have long round bale-snakes that are about 100 yards (or slightly longer) long.

yeah - thats about the length on the bigger farms.

Now all we need is to be able to connect the baler and hitch the trail behind it then we can make bales then load them in one pass. Add all that to the back of a harvester and everything done at once.

with the name biobaler makes me wonder what else can it bale? direct crops in my area when a storm trashes a crap some just bale it and still get a use out of it. So didnt know if that is how the biobaler was the idea behind it just a thought i had?

yeah - its a pretty regular thing in the midwest.

So I’m a little confused, on the ps4 my fields say grass but when I cut them Tedder them windrow then bale it says hay when I pick up a bale. If I just cut then bale are they grass then? The hybrid xtractor only works with grass bales how do I get grass and not hay?

When you ted the grass, or let it sit out for the night it will turn to hay. So for the X-tractor you want to mow and windrow, then Bale and then wrap. Don't ted.

wrapped bales are bailage it’s not exactly silage it’s kinda like it that, it’s high in protein and nutrient for dairy cows to produce more milk or for beef it fattens them up

Yes. Purchasing the DLC bring the new equipment into the game, but you still have to buy it in game (with game money).

The mixer wagons actually feed out the front, not the back , like you said

Moanie and I met on Twitch - her daughter started watching my Ytube videos last year, and she started watching with her daughter. She fell in love with me but couldn't find my twitch channel until last October. As soon as she did, she introduced herself and we hit it off right away. I am very blessed. She is an amazing women and has two great daughters. Can't wait until we can all be together permanently.

Hmm - maybe a mod conflict? I haven't heard anyone else say this. Are you sure you are using 100 percent grass bales, not mixed, or straw/hay?

@@jeremypronschinske3873 could you tell me what you did? I have 0 mods, play on the alphine dlc map. All I did was cut my grass, bale it, and now I'm trying to put it in the freaking wrapper and it won't work at all. A waste of $10 😩😩

I got it with the season pass, but I think its not worth the €9,99

These equipment packs often get dissed by players because they don't have any new heavy equipment, like tractors, or harvesters and so forth. I am sure you won't be alone, but honestly, I am used to paying 20 bucks for one train engine in Rail Sim, or 30-50 dollars for a single tank in World of Tanks, so 10 bucks for 10 or 15 pieces of equipment is a pretty good price.
