Ancient Metaler Reacts to The Warning - Copper Bullets - Live at the Whiskey (2nd attempt)

Музыка

The sound quality on the first video was so bad, I redid the reaction video. So, I've now heard this song a few times, but I wanted to fix the audio as I felt it was disrespectful of the source material and The Warning for the audio to be so muted.

Another great lyric: "the words come out like razor blades." They have come up with some gems on several songs.

The topics these girls(teenagers) tackle is astounding. The lyrics that are portrayed, just wow. I know in earlier concerts, their parents were concerned about this song, and the attention it was demanding, suggesting they shouldn't play it. These girls control their destiny. Thanks for the redo. Glad you had the lyrics this time.

Much better audio. They were a regualr for January shows at The Whiskey for a couple of years at this time. They have a standing invitation to come back, though I bet they would sell out three shows in a row in a matter of minutes. They have grown quite a following int he LA area. Yeah, this song is dark, about domestic abuse and murder. Since Pau does most of the lyrics for the band you have to remember she was an angsty teen in her emo period when this was written.

Pay says she's never written a love song - I disagree, I think "Revenant" is perhaps the darkest love song ever written...

Ugh gives me a huge Rush vibe, sonically ... This one reminds me of King's X (other versions are more prominent with Dany's guitar tone sounding a lot like Ty Tabor). ✌️🤘

your signal is 5 by 5, sir 🐱 the only other thing i might suggest is a "publishing script" where you list the steps of publishing a video so you can check off each one and not forget the little things... eg: closed captioning... while i can hear fine, i still like the CC so i can also read what i might miss... it also helps for translation to other languages for your viewers that don't have English as their first language... anyway, GoodJob! ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡

That's perfectly legit, I say the same things to myself every time I watch them, too, and in the last year and a half, I've seen some of these too many times to count. But they stand up to repeated listening, a sign of gimmick-free rock solid songwriting.

Its mindboggling that 2 teens & a pre-teen have talked about domestic violence in Copper Bullets through insightful allegories. Nothing straight forward. As others have said before their parents opposed the release of this song in public - femicide being a sensitive topic. But the girls, convinced about the relevance of this song, stayed adamant. "The broken glass starts falling down Her golden blood spills on the ground He grabs a gun, the empty sound Copper bullets ran her way Love will be her end" 🤯 Unfortunately most listeners don't prioritize lyrics nowadays because songs have been lacking depth since the '90s. To them a song is about head banging to fast solos & catchy riffs. Thankfully The Warning are way more than that.

This song almost didn't make it on the XXI Century Blood Album because the song is about a Murder/Suicide and their Parents weren't to happy with the song

Thank you thank you thank you. Just TOO BAD Ale is not using her 4 string Spector any more. Her tone was bad-phukking-to-tha-bone back then. Because her 4 stringers were equipped with 2 P-Bass split pickups & a single J-bass pickup...she could achieve any tone she wanted. BUT! Ever since Spector designed a 5 string (with 2 soapbar pickups) in her name, presented it to her, etc...her tone was less than impressive. I know, I played bass 40 years and been bitching about her new tone till I'm black & blue in da face. Go back and listen to her early days of playing "Queen of the Murder Scene" live, on her 4 string Spector...you'll instantly agree with me. Thanks for video!
