Every where i search is just bad review. Thanks for actually reviewing this game rather than just playing it for 2 hours then dropping it to review another one of the million shooters. Most people complain that there is no minimap becuase they're useless. anyway, great review. Imo i love this game and dont get why so many people hate it

I had a really good time playing this. Yes the second half turned a little grindy but the adventure and experience at the start was superb.

I'm glad you are giving an honest review rather than those 2 hour reviewers. I hear alot of reviewers say "the game is very repeating" well... Humankind and evolution was repetitive. I played this game twice. My first time I was scared of everything. Hated exploring and felt unsafe but I learned to explore and fight things and it pushed me out of my comfort Zone and I enjoyed the game. "It takes 10 years to craft a spear/stuff" well.. if you played the game the more advanced your species is and you learn how to use your hands. You can craft stuff in less and less time to almost instantly. People bash Ancestors way to hard..

I was surprised at how much bad press the game got when it released. For the first half of the game I was completely hooked and wanted to play at every opportunity. Granted that feeling faded a little after I ran out of new things to craft/learn towards the end, but overall I really enjoyed this original game.

Close to a year when the game was released. I came back to see how people reviewed it, and this one was the best. Looking at the game from every aspect and simply just giving it a chance instead of complaining how the game isn't helpful. Just writing it off as bad because they can't figure it out or don't want to. The game doesn't coddle you but on the flipside, completely abandon you either. I agree that it gets repetitive but overall it was fun. Thanks for the great review!

Glad you enjoyed it! I think the way the game leaves to discover some of the mechanics yourself works in its favour. I do agree that many reviewers seem to have been a bit harsh on this game, but I suppose its all down to personal opinions and preference. I had a lot of fun with the game and hope they make a sequel covering the next age.

Yes a simple one - I didn't have any review footage as at that time I was streaming from one PC still, so the only footage recorded was what I was putting out to the stream, with camera, my voice, alerts etc :)

How many sticks 'n stones did you break throughout your play-through? X-D A very balanced and concise review (much more objective than certain gaming mag/sites). It's certainly piqued my interest and is on my watch-list for when it comes out (and is discounted) on Steam.

MarkGFL ...I keep meaning to drop by more often in your streams, especially now you combine the streams with a considered review following. I am sure I will take part in some club competitions at some stage so yes, it would be cool to meet on the field. Hope the injury can be diagnosed and treated, frustrating when these things drag on...

Man I swear Tokyo jungle was one of the most unique and amazing survival games I’ve EVER played on the PS3. Was worth more than its $15 bucks price tag. I haven’t got a feeling of unique and thrilling of playing a game since. This kind of reminded me of that excitement until I started watching reviews.. smh 🤦‍♂️ was in hope this would give me the same feeling until all these reviews bash it. Not sure what to think now.

Hi Mark, been awhile since I've checked in on your content- hope your doing well. Fyi WoT has improved a bit since patch 1.6- e.g. no more team damage. Still Russian Bias, and premium tier 8's rolling out non-stop- but overall it's improved. ;-)

I feel like the part of the game where you start to become human and walk around seem quite boring. Game like this should just be you as a monkey, surviving giant creatures and the world around you. And that should just be it. That way, this game would had much more potential and exciting.

Its an Epic store exclusive for the first year, then it'll be on Steam. I was sent this copy for review from the publisher.

What about World War Z? I haven't played it myself, but some of the fight scenes look fun and in a similar idea to Left 4 Dead.
