Beating Spore With Earth's Most Successful Organism
Ойындар
Embarrassingly my early memories of Spore were painful, getting beaten by a worm in the Creature Stage. This time I would use the help of google to re-create Earth's most potent organism to give me the best opportunity to beat Spore. The results were unexpected. Let's say the Peace is more complicated than it first seems...Here is my brief review and experience of the 2008 Maxis Classic Spore.

I love how you noticed there's a music making section in the civilization stage! I know only one other person apart from me who found this feature but he didn't really like it because he couldn't make anything good with it and gave up. I agree that feature is not the best and provides very limited options but it's still interesting to play with it a little bit
@ChlorophilG
Жыл бұрын
It was a nice little feature, although it was tricky to get the time signatures right as the note length was difficult to interpret or read, so it took a lot of trial and error for me. I suspect most players would just use the randomise button until they found something they enjoyed though. It was definitely interesting to play with! thanks for the comment!
I chuckled so loudly at Paul McCartney. The serious delivery, comedic timing, and context was just top tier.

"He always seemed constantly annoyed at the local wildlife, as he struggled to get satisfaction" Brilliant writing, Johnno's constant bloodlust did not go unappreciated
Not enough people show off the space stage, I think it's really fun! I especially love creating those wildlife sanctuary worlds and filling them up with my own creations. I had one called "Buppyworld" that I filled entirely up with these cute platypus-like species I made
I suspect that some Chlorophil coverage of Black & White would be...interesting. In particular, the parenting techniques for an unruly Creature or disobedient flock.
Man, I've played Spore so much back in the day. I love the game, I don't care what others say! I wonder if Beatles can befriend the Grox?

First time viewer. I like this video. Great story telling, and really funny. I like how I've played hundreds of hours on the space stage, and you made me see it in a whole new way. More of a story than a goal trying to be achieved. I wouldn't hate to see Paul continue his journey to the center of the universe.

I haven't heard a lot about the Beetles, but that joke nearly made me choke on my food. Thanks for the laughter.
I can't believe you're using my mom's all-time favorite musician to beat my all-time favorite computer game
This is by far the best commentary i have ever heard for a game in my entire life. I was sucked in the whole time to Paul's plight and his story. 10/10 Bravo!!!!!
This is one of the most fun playthroughs of spore i've ever seen! The adventures of the beetles, from start to finish. You know how to keep people watching your videos, sir.
I clicked to see what spore was all about, but I stayed to see this beatle story play out… and I must say I was not disappointed 😢
your narrative skill made me very invested in the story.. I felt like I was a part of Paul's story... in this astonishing journey , I have subscribed
I've never played, nor had any interest in Spore, and yet, here i am. It shows how efficiently and entertaining you made this video, all the while explaining mechanics, tips, and and overall experience on the game, making me very invested on not only the story and gameplay of the game, but also into your videos. Truly well done.
One playthrough of Spore, I sort of accidentally made an elephant bird creature and humorously it could reach the tall tree fruits. However though I will say I never took on pack members in when I was a kid because I feared of them dying and I mostly took on other species, that was interesting and didn't work as well in my opinion. But for the creature stage, I always recruited from my own species and that brought far more synergy, like it makes anything past what is the equivalent of cell creation given legs so much easier. Also I know its called the cell stage but I think its more like cell and fish stage as you sort of become a fish, there was gonna be a definitive fish stage in the beta but it got cut. Also fun fact, if you want a little extra in terms of DNA points to spend, simply pick the starting cell that has two eyes, down the middle.
8:34 💀 I don't even have words for how hard this sentence made me laugh
this video flows so well and is put together so neatly, it all makes for such a pleasing watch 🥰🥰🥰
Did not expect to watch something of Spore today but I am really glad I did. What an amazing commentary! Loved it
