It's amazing that whatever he wrote , became instant success. I remember he samg couple of songs as well. " Bagome Bahar Aai, Rutu Bekarar Aai, Aaja Mere Sathi." Javed Akhtarji said in his " Classic Legends" that Aanand Baxi's songs have literary value and should be taught in the schools and colleges . "Jindgike Safarme Gujar Jate Hai Jo Makam, Woh Kabhi Nahi Aate " is wonderful song reflecting the reality of life.

फिल्म संगीत के लिए गीत लिखना एक साहित्यिक शायरी या कविता से कहीं अधिक कठिन और रचनात्मक होता है क्योंकि शायरी और कविता आजाद होती है लेकिन फिल्मी गीत एक विशेष विषय पर एक खास धुन में बंधे हुए होते हैं इसलिए फिल्मी गीत लेखन अत्यंत कठिन कार्य होता है ! शब्दों का चयन भी आम दर्शक और श्रोता के स्तर पर जाकर सहज रूप से करना होता है जिसमें बड़ी से बड़ी बात को सहजता से कहना होता है तथा भारी-भरकम साहित्यिक शब्दावली का उपयोग सर्वथा वर्जित होता है ! इसलिए आनंद बक्शी जैसे कलाकार अपने समय के मीर और गालिब से कम नहीं हैं !!

50s, 60s and 70s kay gaane aaj bhi nai peedhi ko yaad hai. Kyu? Kyuki uski writing bahut Pakiza hua karti thi jinhe gunngunaney mai kisi ko bhi koi aaptti nahi hoti thi aur usper sangeet ka sone pe suhaga.Sangeet ne uss writing ko maano parr laga diye ho jo aaj bhi apne andaz mai udtey rahte hai.

आनंद बक्शी साहब एक महान गीतकार थे। यह बात समझ से परे है कि बक्शी जी के समकालीन मजनू सुल्तानपुरी को उनके गीतों और शायरी के लिए दादा साहेब फाल्के पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया है। परंतु गीतों की गुणवत्ता लोकप्रियता को देखकर ऐसा कहीं से प्रतीत नहीं होता है कि गीतों के मामले में मजनू सुल्तानपुरी और आनंद बक्शी के बीच कोई तुलना हो सकती है।
