Anyone want to do some research in his 3 years with his stitched up offensive line he's got a thousand yards every season he is only lost two fumbles and played hurt and never missed a game Mike Tomlin loves najee he's a team captain for a reason

Trading Najee is a mistake, Warren hasn’t proved anything and Najee has 3 1,000 yard seasons and is in the top 5 in the league in rushing since he was drafted. Warren won’t hold up as a featured back, and will lose his biggest advantage(being the change of pace back). I really hope this does not happen. We have so much going our way this offseason to ruin our chance at being a contender. Getting rid of Najee and depending on an unproven Jaylen Warren will definitely hurt our chances, at least in my opinion.

Warren was one of the best yards per carry backs in the league last season. He’s also younger than Naj. If the Steelers value Warren over Najee then I trust that they are making the right decision.

Couldn't agree more. Watch the tape & you'll see that Naj was dragging huge piles between the tackles, but as exciting as Warren was, he was more often than not denied when he tried to bruise it up the middle. They are VERY different runners, and any thought that you can just fip into lower priced free agency, or use a mid or late draft pick to replace Naj is total madness. The guy has been a tank, AND he's done those 3 consequetive 1,000 yd. seasons on a team w/ a half crap line, and total crap OC, and absolutely ZERO complimentary passing offense. Again, just go back and watch the tape, the Steelers were the easiest offense in the NFL to shut down, ya just pack the box and run pressure up the middle over the matador center. Edge rush wasn't even needed, just maintain contain and by two one thousand Cole was blown out and the pocket gone. Omar may be some kind if metrics genius, but not locking Naj down when he's at his cheapest is just asinine. Stephen, quit kissing their asses, this is just wrong.

Heck I'd rather he do that and miss 3 games cuz that means he'd be a more efficient and explosive runner.

It's getting to the point where, as a life-long Steelers fan, I don't even know who the Steelers are anymore. What does being a Steeler even mean now? It used to mean a lot. Now it just seems like being a chess piece on a football chess board, moved around by money.

I don't understand why we're even talking about RBs. Najee and Warren compliment each other perfectly just keep them both. At least for another season.

That you're talking about this absurd trade is giving it far more attention than it deserves.

How is it clear that the Steelers have shown that they have no interest in keeping dodgy Harris? There are multitude of reasons other than the ones you guys are talking about why they may have declined his fifth year option. I would not be surprised if he was extended this summer, with a contract with similar money, but not as much guaranteed. Hey man no need to apologize for anything. Even people that can see can't spell that good so it's all good and a very solid point made that plenty of people overlook. The Steelers do not pay a ton in guaranteed money period. Doesn't matter who you are as history has shown us time and time again when the Steelers draw up contracts.

Multiple insiders have said that it appears the Steelers are interested in signing a multi year extension with Najee Harris, have you guys considered that as a possibility? Keep up the good work here we go, Steelers!

Training camp should be a real zoo this year. I expect tons of media coverage will happen. I’m glad I no longer have to travel route 30 between Latrobe and Jeanette every weekday and pass St. Vincent’s. The traffic on route 30 will probably be extremely heavy with everyone going to/from camp. I used to enjoy those days living about a 2 mile drive from St. Vincent’s, but not anymore

It depends on how well Najee plays this year because if he really produces and Jaylen Warren is a strong starter then you can let najee walk after this year and he will probably get a really good deal with another team and we can draft tn next year or pick up a cheap backup in fa

Najee is a depiction of Pittsburgh football, smash mouth griddy football. Warren looks good in limited snaps . He doesn’t have the frame to be a 3 down back

In all honesty if Najee didn't have Derrick Henry expectations coming out of college he would not be criticized so much. His yards per touch are low but again he is flat out a power back who doesn't make people miss he just uses his strength to grind out 2-3 yards and yes his vision is very questionable at times. I truly think he's a good back he's just not a superstar like everyone expected him to be. 3k yards in 3 seasons is still great production especially with a bottom 5 oline.

There are two words, to me, that make what to do with Dan Moore interesting. Those two words are, Miles Garrett.

I love JW, but we have no idea what he looks like when given the bulk of the load.

Seattle is not under the cap the last time i checked. If I were the Steelers a 2nd round pick is the best I would offer, plus i would make Seattle pay some of his 29 mil cap hit as part of the deal.

Hell I wouldn't even go that high. A 3rd is it just look at what diggs got traded for to the Texans. The market was set by his trade and it was set very low. Seattle just won't do anything with DK until after June 1st. But once that date comes and goes. I bet the trade talks will heat up a lot more and possibly get some serious traction.

Finally someone with common sense and that thing called a brain. Lol. The big thing that most people overlook and don't talk about that much is how many times when Najee was the RB in the back field other teams defenses knew it was going to be a run and just stack the box and even with a stacked box Naj would pump out 3.8-4.1 yards per attempt. It's all Canada's fault in his pathetic elementary level playbook and how he utilized each player. Warren had a mix of rushing plays and plays where he was a receiver coming out of the back field and Matt Canada would just run the ball when he'd have Najee in there. Which would back up your statement of of course you'd look good if you got less touches. Add in what I said and bam there you go all signs point to Matt Canada not Najee. He's going to stiff arm his way into a nice contract come the next off-season. And I hope the Steelers open up there wallets and keep if not another wasted talent that they just let walk to some other team that will appreciate Najees durability and production.

It was reported from an analyst of the cowboys that was told be a well known cowboys inside source that they aren't even contemplating the idea of a trade for Najee. And that they are content with the no name backs and zeke for the upcoming season.

Steelers declined Najee for motivation to go beast mode this year. They want him to settle for 4 or 5 million a year. Steelers also think Patterson can do what Najee does and are banking on Warren being more productive with more carries.

I'd guess the Steelers think the price tag on running backs is unlikely to go up much, if at all, next offseason. If they picked up Najee's option and he goes down with an ACL in week 15, they would be overpaying for him in year 5. They can still sign him on a new deal after the season if they want to, maybe for less than the 5th year number they declined to pick up.

What I find humorous is people talking about a 1,000 yard back like it is an impressive feat. Maybe in the old 14 game schedule it was. But 1,000 yards in a 17 game season is about 58 yards. I like Najee and I am not suggesting to trade him but let’s stop with the “he must be elite because he rushed for 1,000 yards”. lol
