Good thing about the last 6 games you will get to see the true results of Rookie and 2nd year player preformance. How well the Oline is playing, our run game, how well we can score and how well the team is preforming over all. If we can go 4 and 2 in the last 6 I would be very excited about the payoffs and our chances of truly giving it a good SB run with our best effort.

With some of the injuries, what level will Cam perform at when he is 38 years old? I get why Cam wants another deal but if i am the steelers, who historically prefer to let a player go a year too soon than a year too late, i could see added time offered but i dont see a 3 year deal coming after this year. Ben hanging on is fresh in their minds. Franco Harris, ernie holmes, kevin greene, alan faneca, greg lloyd, and carnell lake all finished their careers with other teams.

people seem to forget out schedule in 2008. maybe the most difficult schedule in the history of the NFL. we survived, and it made us better. then we marched through the playoffs to our 6th lombardi. calm down guys!

They brought in some DL in rookie camp and didn't sign none of them to bring along instead decided to continue with Leal and Loudermilk who both been a failure so far and not getting better.

I’m not judging a team off the first couple games. Big games with the and of the schedule at the end, but I’m not judging them as it takes time for new guys to gel. Just hope they get the win

Cam Heyward playing skills is over hyped and at his age forget the extension. He is luck Steelers bring him back for one more year.

He played injured last year,the 2 years before that he recorded 10+sacks and 40+solos 10+ tfl im not sure what you are talking about

Cam played on 1 leg for most of the year last year and still ranked top 20 in DL. He's still strong enough to demand double teams and he should be extended

For anyone to say cams skill level at his age is over hyped then they obviously know nothing about his career as a Steelers DE let alone anything about football with a comment like that. Dudes done nothing but been a pillar right in the heart of the defense. He sets the tone for the rest of the defense and if he's not in Watt and Highsmith don't have as easy as a time getting to the QB because Cam does draw double teams. Maybe not in the sense that Aarom Donald did but he does draw I'm the opponents interior O-line to were they can't kick out to help out blocking Watt or Highsmith. It's just asinine to think otherwise. Not saying pay him a lot more but at least let him finish in Pittsburgh with the knowledge of knowing he'll be getting paid for what's he done and can still do for the defense.

If Watson is the QB for the Browns. Then maybe a sweep

I can't believe cam is trying to pull this now, this isn't the attitude of.someone worried about a ring b4 retirement. Truthfully he should be taking a pay cut after last year, especially considering his age

Cam is a good player he’s never been a top D- lineman . He’s only had double digit sacks twice in 13 years he’s never had more than 100 tackles in a season , he’s been a decent run stopper but let’s not forget how bad this D was against the run with cam at times he’s not worth 10 million per year at this point

Cam should take a paycut, paying him 20 million is completely nuts. Its ok to cut him. He clearly isnt trying to win a sb. Everyone is scared to call out these greedy players.

He is definitely trying to win a sb and Tomlin has said he wants to win a SB with Cam. He is not greedy. It’s a business and he knows he could get injured at anytime and not get a new contract. Gotta get the money while they can. Fans sometimes don’t get it. He isn’t going to try and break the bank and cause the team issues of not being able to sign other guys in the future. Get that guaranteed money and move on.

I hope the NFLPA insists on language in the next agreement about minimum turn around time between games. To have a saturday 430PM game away and then a 1PM on wednesday is jive and its on Netflix. 100% money grab w/o regard for players.

He is a great locker room guy but his better days are over. We need to move on if he wants anything over 10 million and I’m not even sure he’s worth that at this point.

Congrats on becoming a real man and getting married. Steelers' offense is going to be way better than people think. The Steelers always do better with a tougher schedule. You want this kind of schedule to be "locked in" and "battle-tested" come playoff time. It might even give them some tiebreakers for home field, if they win them. Go Steelers 💛 🖤
