Analyst: BSP policy cuts not enough anymore; Markets want fiscal support to catch up | ANC
Market Edge: BDO Capital President Ed Francisco isn’t expecting any more policy cuts from the Bangko Sentral in the near-term, saying that at this point, what the economy needs is fiscal support and measures that will make Filipinos confident to move around and consume again. Francisco sees choppy trade in the short-term amid uncertainties over the vaccine rollout but says the index will likely stabilize towards the end of the year with a 10% index gain.
