Analysis: Aled Jones sings "Walking in the Air" - a duet with himself!
Музыка
The young Aled Jones became famous for his incredible boy soprano voice in the 1980s, and this song "Walking in the Air" really played a big part in that.
Since then, Aled went on to have a very fruitful career as a singer and performer, which he still is today. I think it was very clever of him to take this recording of his 14-year-old self and record complimenting harmonies with his now 52-year-old tenor voice.
Join me as I enjoy and discuss this beautiful work of arat, created by Aled and... Aled!

Exquisite vocals in his teens and fifties and a creative artistic arrangement and video presentation. It was an absolute joy to hear and to see.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Aled had a sublimely beautiful treble voice but if you want to explore boy trebles who were very famous in their time years before Aled came along, I recommend listening to Derek Barsham, Billy Neely and Graham Payne to name just three.
Aled was not nearly the first famous boy soprano. Back in 50-60's, an Italian miracle boy by the name Robertino Loreti has taken the post-war Europe by the storm. He started as a restaurant singer, but was very quickly catapulted into international fame by a Danish producer who noticed him while vacationing in Rome. Robertino was insanely famous and popular, at the time when my parents just started dating his songs blared from every radio. I think, he's still alive, and his performances should be available here.

That is so interesting... thanks for the comment!
A massive thank you for your so appropriate analysis of soprano boys voices so we can really appreciate those amazing and melodious voices. Have you heard soprono Aksel Rykkvin ? All you said about Cormac Thompson and Aled Jones is applicable to this singer who is now a baritone singer since a few years ! I would like to have your opinion about him. Thank you in advance .
Великолепное сопрано Аледа Джонса. Встреча Аледа Джонса с самим собой... Это так трогательно. 💖💐👏👏. Почему нет перевода?
Isten to his duet version of Danny Boy. 😢
Aled is not a tenor he is a baritone
