I once searched how doctors know when they are touching the prostate and I got an entire paper saying that stimulating the prostate is not only pleasurable it also reduces prostate cancer probability and cleanses the prostate.

As a young boy, I was taught to keep my anal area clean and not allow anyone to touch me in that area. As a grown man, I've had mental issues concerning the use of suppositories & felt emasculated during medical rectal exams. I've been programmed by society growing up & into adulthood to stay clear from activities which were considered unclean. I'm a lot older now & see what was considered taboo during the '50's & 60's is totally acceptable today. Time brings about change & people are more sexually aware than ever. Good discussion! This is so much psychology, and not only of straight men. There are many men, straight or not, who have completely absorbed the belief that "real" manhood is about being dominant. They therefore think being sexually receptive to penetration violates that mandate. The whole John Wayne vibe is so many layers of emotionally stunted living. Talk about assholes! That dominance-at-all-cost notion machismo shit REALLY makes for some assholery. As a gay man, I see denigration of bottoming as squarely rooted in deeply ingrained notions of masculine and feminine, male and female, being unequal, feminine being inferior. I have had partners that did not like anal play, because their experience had been of is hurting or being too uncomfortable. Fair enough. People are entitled to differing preferences. I think it's important to note that being penetrated isn't a vulnerable thing and being the penetrator is not a dominant thing. It's all about context and the dynamic between the people involved. I think the way he talked about it was a nice way of viewing it and understanding how it feels to be on the other end. The only concern I have for pegging is with modern day women and the wave of wanting to oppress men and feminise them. You definitely do have different genital anatomy, but the anal region is the great equalizer - across all body types. We all have an anus & anal cavity. You might not have a prostate... but you do have a g-spot that can be stimulated through the anal canal in the same anatomical position. Pretty cool how they can work similarly. I think my main issue here and with most conversations about this is the assumption that everyone needs to experience particular parts of pleasure before they die. I disagree. I don't know enough about this kind of anatomical change to say... but I do know that some people can orgasm simply from analingus (licking of the anus)... and in those scenarios, the prostate isn't directly being stimulated... but as far as the prostate's role in physical orgasm itself? Hi there Harry & Taylor, This is my personal thoughts only and all guys have differing thoughts and opinions on the matter. As an older guy living without a Prostate is not such a problem, once you accept the changes in your life it's made. For most guys having the prostate removed is for Prostate Cancer treatment. I didn't engage in anal sex and (too deep to go into here 🧐) so Prostate stimulation was also an unknown quantity. However I had a healthy sex functioning life and I understood the how and why of how a Prostate worked and functioned in orgasm's and pre ejaculate fluid creation. After my surgery and recovery to remove my cancerous Prostate Gland I can honestly say my masturbatory pleasures haven't changed but are different. The build up is just the same sensations etc my orgasm is perhaps more powerful than before. The downside(?) Is that my orgasm's are 'dry'. I still produce semen but no Seminal fluid is made to Cary it out of my dick. It saves on tissues, laundry basket wipe up clothes etc 😎 So that's my 2cents worth of honesty for guys fearing the unkindest cut of all with Prostate Cancer. We guys don't win in the sex pleasure battle in life, from teen to late 20's it's testicle cancer then from late 40's it's prostate cancer (and the diagnosis age is getting younger) I personally know several guys diagnosed at 45+ ages.
