They won a Cup in 2007, but they are likely some years away from adding another.

As a Ducks fan, I had a few notes of trivia... 1. The Ducks have never faced any less than two Canadian teams in any playoff run in which they face any Canadian team. 2. Between the 2006 and 2007 playoffs, they played all 5 former Northwest Division teams, and in alphabetical order! 3. The 2016 Ducks actually finished 1st overall in both PP and PK. They also had to face Boston in a makeup game the Sunday after the regular season ended, in a game that actually determined the winner of the William Jenings Trophy! 4. The only bad thing about being a Ducks fan is that the letter D falls between the letters S and F on a keyboard!

Kesler was knocked into the crease by the Oilers Dman. By the letter of the law he wasn’t interfering despite making little to no attempt to leave. It’s a tough lesson to learn. If you are clearing the crease don’t dump a guy into the goalie. A tougher lesson would be to protect leads late. Either way the Oilers had so many other opportunities to win that game and didn’t. It went to double OT! And they couldn’t score in Game 7 with McDavid and Drai. Call it more than a controversy if you like but the better team won that series. The Oilers would not have made it to six games against that Nashville team. The Ducks were getting by on clutch OT wins and depth scoring in that WCF. Something the Oilers couldn’t muster. Not to mention lack of Playoff experience for EDM.
