Classical guitars are our passion! We are specialized in the highest quality concert guitars as well as historic guitars from around the world. Our passion for these unique instruments and the joy to give guitarists, passionate players, and collectors the possibility to purchase their own appropriate instrument is the motivation that drives us. Another focus is to work closely with established and young, largely unknown luthiers. Together we want to develop new ideas and share experiences with our customers.
We also recorded pieces for many great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Isaac Albeniz (Asturias). You will also find almost all the classical music composers that wrote for the classical guitar. Make sure to discover Agustin Barrios Mangoré, Manuel Maria Ponce, Heitor Villa-Lobos and many more if you don't know their compositions already
You can find our show room in 76137 Karlsruhe, Roonstr. 31, Germany

Jim Redgate is a highly sought-after Australian luthier, known for his guitars built for artists such as Ana Vidovic, Pepe Roméro and Odair Assad. This lattice-braced model is an exact copy of the guitar that Ana Vidovic plays. Jim Redgate’s instruments have their own sound and touch. The breath-taking volume combined with rich harmonics and impressive clarity of sound are quite unique. The playability is fantastic, and the guitars are relatively light in weight compared to the Australian standard.
We’ve of course heard Ana Vidovic in concert many times playing on a Redgate guitar, but this guitar convinced us even more of the quality of Jim’s work. The honesty and spontaneity of each note, the magnificent volume, the ease of playing, and the unique sound character of this guitar make it an instrument not only rare in Europe, but above all extremely enchanting.
Luthier: Jim Redgate
Construction year: 2019
Top: Cedar/Lattice
Back and sides: Bolivian rosewood

Nut: 52 mm

When Agustín Barrios, Mangore, composed una limosna por el amor de Dios, was living and teaching in the only school he ever taught in El Salvador. This masterpiece was about this poor lady beggar that every morning asked Mangore for a little money and that was the inspiration for this masterpiece. Agustín Barrios is buried at the Los ilustres burial grounds in San Salvador, El Salvador. A very special person from Paraguay who wanted reside in El Salvador.

Nostalgia: What a beautiful word. You write "Saudade" in Portueguese (Think about Bossa Nova), "Techagau" in Guarani (Think about Mangore and our lovely country, Paraguay). You can close you eyes and listening to Tango, Bossa and Mangore with any of these words.

he was thinking in an old lady begging for a coin, the title roughly translated to english is alms for the love of god, so it's ok to feel moved, he was a Paraguayan national, Paraguay as many other places in Latin America have seen the harshest parts of poverty, sadly there are still a lot of mainly indigenous people, that from a racist thinking are left behind as expendables, this song evoques that unfair picture of an old native lady asking help on the street to survive, that lady is our mother and as this song seeing that every day is heartbreaking more on it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f4h9ys6faJjghMY.html

The story about this piece is than Mangoré was in his house and a very old and sick lady knocked at his door begging with a tearfull voice "for an alms (¿or charity?) for the love of god" he truely didn't have a single coin, he told that to her but the woman was so old and sick that didn't understood, so she kept knocking unceasingly. That touched so deeply to Barrios that he wrote the piece simulating the constants knocks of the woman. Is a very sad and deep piece. I am from Paraguay like Barrios Mangoré, and this piece makes me tears up every time i listen or play it.

+Ben Levine Yes, sir. It is a two finger tremolo. She uses that technique mainly because she doesn't like the way her ''a' or ring finger sounds against the string. I've tried both. Three fingers is easier to go fast, two fingers is oddly easier to sound even, but harder to speed up.

  • @Jason_Music

+Christopher Dupre yes the shaping of the nail is very important to get consistency in the tremolo attack and sound. she does it well with 2 fingers. i think i prefer 3 fingers though it s true my A doesn t sound exactly like the 2 others.

  • @wonghow

    @wonghow

    7 жыл бұрын

She has done well with 2 finger tremolo. 2 finger cannot get up to speed for tremolo effect. Some music may still be ok when played slow. The reason you can't get even sound with A finger is because you haven't trained it to be as strong as other fingers. look at Paco Pena's flamenco tremolo incredibly smooth even and often transiting strings in flamenco.

Your comment expresses just what some of these "criticones" need to hear! :) How can anybody focus on the trees and entirely miss this marvelous forest! I think that all too often some of us forget about Her, the Music, and get distracted by minor minor technicalities, associated with the infinite variables introduceded by the artist, the instrument, the environment, which are all factors that make each performance different and unique - much like good wines, or the scent of flowers or many of the treasures this life can offer to the luckiest of us. But dear friends, criticones and fans alike, do you not hear the echo of Augustin Barrios Mangorè knocking on heaven's door? Towards the end, I can actually hear that door open...

I think this is superb! I will never come close to Anna's level of playing, but for me personally, I feel that "a charity for the alms of God", la ultima cancion of the late great Agustin barrios mangore, should be played with just a bittttt more gusto

Maravillosas obra e interpretación. No realiza el trémolo convencional de pami, sino pmim y aún así suena muy fluido y dulce.

A true godess! Bravo Mrs Vidovic! I would love to hear your interpretation of Sueño en la floresta by Barrios or Campanella by Liszt. A more challenging tremolo perhaps would be the next step for you, as you certainly make these hard songs seem easy!
