NCT U is not a fixed unit that's why you might not find a guide it's basically different member combination every song so any nct member can be in a NCT U song it changes every time depending on who fits the concept (a rotational unit)

When yangyang debuted it was a cultural rebirth for the German kpop fandom German stan twitter exploded. Everyone was surprised they even exist because usually on stan twitter German kpop stans just talk in English (including me), but suddenly everyone started with the 'OMG YANGYANG BREZELBRUDER LASS MAL DÖNER ESSEN GEHEN AUF MEINEN NACKEN' and everyone was like huh? Germans? In Germany we have this thing where every year a 'word of the youth' is selected, basically slang teens use. The year yangyang debuted, everyone started calling him 'ehrenmann' (basically like someone who is respectable, very bro word), and guess what, Jugendwort that year was Ehrenmann, and tweets about him were referenced in official articles. And it was so hilarious. German kpop stans really assembled at that time and invented the best jokes ever, some of which I still reference today. + there's this clip of yangyang saying we should support them in German, but he conjugated support in the wrong way, he said 'supportieren' instead of 'supporten', which is also something I still reference till today. Good old days.

There's a KZread channel called "itorook" , a dancer that analyse NCT (SKZ too) dancers and choreographies, and there's an analysis about why ten is one of the best dancers in the industry, i think it's really interesting you can check it out if you want to

I think one of the reasons why ten is such a respected and highly valued dancer is because of his performance on "hit the stage", a dance competition in 2016 they were mindblowing

I think "leaders in the industry" are those that other idols and trainees aspire to be like. Kai, Taemin, Jimin, are typical examples. I do think it is subjective as well. Kai, Taemin, Ten, JB, Key, Lay, N, Taeyong, Yeonjun, and San would be my top 10 but there are A LOT of amazing performers in kpop but I'm really into those that have a lot of facial expressions and not just their bodies.

It's based on skills, variety, versatility, energy, experience etc. There is NOTHING subjective here. Being "THE best" is indeed subjective, but that's not what was mentioned here. Ten IS one of the best dancers in the industry whether people like it or not. The comments mentioned some other dancers in this comment section, but most of them are FAR from Ten when it comes to skills...which is why this can't and shouldn't be a "subjective" conversation. It simply doesn't make sense. 26:27 to me a good dancer, goes beyond "dancing well". you need to express it with your whole body and soul, expression, arms, legs, everything. you need to be original, find a style, something that you think you can pull off and really think about what dancing means to you. you can dance well but if you can't manage your facial expressions and you can't match your energy to the song you're dancing, then I don't think that someone like that could be considered a great dancer and viceversa, if you are all face expression but can't really express it with your body then, in my personal opinion you can't be under that category. someone should be able to communicate and express through their body.
