I intentionally chose an older one because of the fact that I did not want to spoil anything I have not reacted to yet in terms of some of the newer stuff. I do plan on doing more though. :)

Not the best guide but appreciate it a lot.🙏 Not sure about which guide is the best and updated but it should but a quality guide should at least mention how 1. Kun can fly planes and is a licensed skydiver and graduated in college with honors. He also composes and produces. 2. Ten used to be a gymnast, was a monk for a short while, and won a talent show in Thailand. He is also excellent in visual arts and super sporty (basketball, swimming, surfing, skiing, badminton, etc.). Arguably the best dancer in kpop. 3. Hendery wanted to be a comedian but somehow got scouted to be an idol. Not much is known about his past. 4. Yangyang suddenly decided to try to be an idol when he dreamed of dancing on stage during a coma. 5. Xiaojun used to ve bullied, was a theater kid, also joined a talent show like Ten. Came from a family of singers. 6. Winwin was a top student and ranked number one in Beijing Dance Academy final exam and was admitted to the most prestigious art school in China with a 1% passing rate. Bonus: 4/6 of WayV members are flexible. Ten and Yangyang came from very loaded families. Like really loaded but are very low-profile.😅

This is an okay guide if you wanna be familiarized with the members/get to know them a little, tho in my opinion the guide by Lao Gan Ma (which was like an hour long) was more informative and showcased their skills better. There definitely needs to be an updated guide for WayV (and the other NCT units as well) knowing how much they have grown until now. Still, I enjoyed the reaction and your insights/comments so thank you! Here are some random fun facts: - WAYV does not only stand for We Are Your Vision, it is also a short-term for WeishenV which means "God's of Vision" in Mandarin. - Shortly after debuting with NCT U, Ten participated in a dance survival contest, competing against other great dancers such as Taemin, Hyoyeon, etc. A rookie competing with already-established dance gods? That's how good he is! His perfs from that show are on yt so you can check them out if you want. - Kun, oldest & leader, loves sky activities esp sky-diving so much that he even got a license for it. The members were not joking when they said there's nothing he can't do lol. - As far as I know, it is not confirmed if Xiaojun has perfect pitch but he's very much a musically inclined person since he came from a family of musicians/singers. - Hendery went to SM to audition as a comedian but apparently, he went to the wrong audition so yeah he ended up getting in as a rapper instead lmao. - Yangyang can play the violin btw. Also, part of the reason people thought Yangyang was a vocalist before he debuted is because he kinda looked like Taeil (NCT 127's main vocal) - Winwin went to a prestigious dance school where he was a top student and ranked first.

29:16 multilingual to be exact, as we all know he can also speak Korean added to english, mandarin and german as mentioned to this video. And fun fact he can speak basic spanish and japanese too.

KUN 1. Flying airplanes and skydiving are two of his hobbies. I believe he’s still working on his pilot license and likely wont complete it in Korea due to the language barrier, but he did get his skydiving license in Korea last year! For the Phantom comeback he actually went skydiving with a banner of the album cover design. 2. He has a degree from the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy. 3. He’s a producer and spends a lot of time growing his skills, of course. He started composing songs at 15. He’s been going to SM’s song camps and making friends with the other producers there in the last few years. He’s been involved in several song covers and song/dance performances that NCT members have done, has remixed WayV songs (Most recently, Phantom), etc. Earlier this year there was a song registered that had him listed as a producer so we’re waiting to see what it is! One of his goal is to produce songs on WayV’s albums. WINWIN 1. His ear is just like that, to the delight of several NCT members who adore him 2. He is an actor now. He started his own studio to handle his solo work in China and his first cdrama, Sweet Games, was released earlier this year. He has several more in the works. Due to him pursuing acting you’ll only see him in WayV content sometimes from 2021 to early 2023 as he wasn’t always able to make it back to Korea or wherever else they performed for a variety of reasons, including COVID restrictions and SM not communicating properly with his studio 3. He’s a bit reserved and shy and has been coming out of his shell recently, even more so than he did after they first debuted. Doing his thing in China definitely gave him some extra confidence! 4. He went to the Tencent White Paper Gala in China yesterday with Xiaojun and Kun and performed a very short bit of contemporary during their song Back to You. XIAOJUN 1. He comes from a family of singers and says that he’s the worst of them. His father and his brother are also both singers and he, his brother, and his sister in law have sung some of the songs from WayV’s recent album together 2. He plays the guitar 3. In 2018, the name NCT Vision was trademarked to prepare for their debut but in the end the end up as WayV. I honestly really like NCT Vision, because Dream, Vision, and now the new unit - Wish kinda blend together really well. 🥲

I personally like WayV more because it distinguishes themselves from the other subunits. It's easier for a new listener to remember distinctly what group made what song because you don't have to filter out ALL the other NCT units first. That and the name WayV is just hard asf!! 😤

@@TJKReactsss yeah but that's the thing, most people don't even know they're a part of NCT. And even their lightstick is different from the main NCT lightstick, so when they have a concert that combines them all like NCT Nation, the fandom seems divided. It feels like only those holding the V lightsticks are there for WayV and vice versa, making them seem a bit like the outcasts. And not to mention some NCT fans don't want to acknowledge them as NCT. Because I was a fan of NCT way before WayV even debuted, I didn't like the sudden division in the fandom🥲 But anyway their official name in China, Korea and Japan is WeishenV. Not sure why the video didn't mention it. WeishenV means - Gods of Vision ( a play on word, to pronounce vision in chinese you have to say weishen. And weishen means God)

Btw Lucas left WayV but will always be apart of the group and still friends with his members

I planned on looking at other stuff regardless, the guides can be tough because even if I see them all I don't always get their names and faces locked in at first, luckily there is a ton of extra content to check out for them and the quick guide was a good starter for the time I had to record.
