ok with cool with you the clue is in the 'painting' which tells the story of 'Cupid' and his forbidden love with a human 'Psyche'.. gender roles are reversed as Hoyeon is 'Cupid' who falls for the human who represents Psyche.... She gives up her divinity and becomes human in order to be with him (represented by her taking off her clothes in the rain) Newjeans represent the '9 muses' who follow cupid around with song and dance but do not interfere..... its likely they reported her actions to her father Tony Leung portraying 'Aphrodite' who punishes her by reverting her back to 'cupid' and erases the guys memory of her while making him also fall for someone else. the ending shows cupid going back to newjeans with a look of anger and contempt at them before taking on her role as 'cupid' yet again. She also looked nervous earlier when she saw them just before she became human.. like she knew that because they were watching there would be repurcussions but she went ahead with it anyway. 'so fresh so clean' probably reminds you of Outkast :) 'aint nobody dope as me im just so fresh and clean' also the genre here is 'mainstream uk garage' very popular here in the uk late 90s to early 2000s... its the main genre of the EP (but other similar clubland sounds are blended in like miami bass and jersey club) it actually started early 90s as a harder clubland sound with raps and harder riffs.. the likes of 'artful dodger' and 'craig david' made it popular amongst the mainstream by swapping the raps with rnb/soulful vocals and harder riffs with softer melodies but retaining the essence of the sound with the basslines and superfast hi hats and synths. These two songs are probably their most 'pure mainstream uk garage' tunes which is why they are my 2 faves of theirs. Also 'get up' gives me early timbaland / aaliyah vibes from her one in a million album.

right? i like their club tunes better but most newjeans fans like their rnb tunes more but one thing ive noticed is 'cool with you' is right up there in top 3 or 5 of EVERY newjeans fans.. regardless of whether they fall into the rnb or clubland preferance
